DRAGONS & KNIGHTS Mission
Alyssa sighed a bit and rolled her shoulders. It was about five o’clock in the afternoon, and it had been a long day. Hoenn’s Leader and Indigo’s Champion had teamed up for a mission that day in Unova, and what had started as what Alyssa had hoped would be a remotely peacable confrontation with Lux members attempting to claim the tiny town in Unova for themselves turned out to be butting heads more than anything, and settling matters through battles or simply running away. I guess it’s a good thing Lance and I stepped in... she thought, sipping her water and glancing at the Dragon Master beside her. Lux has been butting heads with Nox forces for too long...their grunts had practically flushed us out. The grunts were spineless once they saw us...if that's what the majority of Lux is made of... she silently excluded the people she'd battled on the war front ...then I wonder how long they'll last before toppling.
Any opposition they’d faced was easy to deal with, seeing as most of the grunts lost their will to fight when they saw the two Nox responsible for forcing them back. They’d turned tail and ran, most of them have. I guess being more well-known comes with its merits... she mused, glancing at Lance again. I suppose Lance is more used to that than I am... the white-haired Veteran thought with a smirk. Then again, more people he’s encountered probably want to challenge him...or are the more superficial fans... She shook the thought out of her head before spinning her glass quietly in her fingers against the wood of the bar.
The two powerful Nox trainers were sitting beside each other at the bar of a tiny restaurant in Accumula Town, both of them drinking water for a refresher from their long day. With their backs to the door, wheever it opened a cold draft of air filtered through and hit both of them, causing Alyssa to shiver each time. She had a tendency to underdress when going to other regions, and she was more used to the warm-ish (comparatively speaking) winters of Hoenn. Looking at Lance, she wondered momentarily if the cape he wore so often did anything to keep him warm in winter weather.
It’s cold enough to snow, I’m amazed it isn’t already...
Giving herself a shake she spoke, her blue gaze turned upwards to meet the striking red one of Lance. ”Today has been easy enough, I’d say...” she said quietly, running a hand through her white bangs. ”More opposition from Lux than I would have expected but, luckily for them, almost all of the grunts were smart enough not to try settling things through a pokemon battle with you or I.” she commented with a small smile. It was true, any trainer courageous or stupid enough to take the both of them on at once had a rather sad fate waiting for them.
"The Lux grunts we've encountered have been all too easy to handle...a complete contrast to what I was met with on the front lines of a War battle." Her mind threatened to dive down the portion that had been built up with mental walls holding the memories of what she saw and felt during the Battles she'd fought for territory. Giving herself a shake, she pulled away from them as quickly as possible.
"If Lux thinks they can win territories like this -with only grunts- they're sadly mistaken..."

Lance let out a satisfied sigh as he placed the now empty glass on the wooden bar counter he sat at. Alyssa and himself sat alone in the bar now, with the bartender being the only other soul besides them, with the rare and occasional customer popping in to drown their sorrows in alcohol. The constant fighting in the city between Lux and Nox had caused most if not all of the city’s population to evacuate, leaving the city basically vacant except for those directly involved in the fighting. That, of course included the two titans of Nox, the Dragon Master, Lance and Hoenn’s Abyss, Alyssa Akiyama.
It was a bit unprecedented, but Nox had signed up two of its strongest trainers for this mission together. It was rather simple, remove any Lux personal from Accumula Town and capture the territory in the name of Nox. Personally Lance had no issue with fighting in the battles. He knew it was a necessity in war, however they never seemed to sit well with the Indigo Champion, killing and bloodshed never did.
Luckily enough their opponents today were nothing but mere grunts in the Lux faction. Once they recognized the strength of the adversary they were facing, they quickly turned tail and ran. Lance was grateful for his well-known status as the Indigo Champion. It helped him avoid pointless bloodshed and unnecessary battles with pathetic trainers far from the calibre he wished to engage.
Signalling the bartender for another glass of water, Lance turned to face his female partner. He noted her shivering every now and then when the door opened up and let a cold breeze flood through the place. Removing his cape from his shoulders, the Dragon Master gently placed the black cape around the delicate shoulders of Alyssa. Clearly way too big for the smaller female, the cape nearly touched the floor as it draped off her shoulders, threatening to engulf the female trainer. It wasn’t the most comfortable piece of clothing but it would help combat the cold the constantly irritated Alyssa. He smiled amusingly as he stared at the odd sight next to him, though he carefully tried his best to hide his quiet laugh away.
Guess she can look pretty cute at times too.
Leaning on his elbow, he placed his head lazily in his palm as he locked eyes with Alyssa’s. ”There were more of them than we expected, but like you said, luckily none of them were stupid enough to face the both of us…” he replied in an equally quiet tone, pausing a moment to take a sip from the glass of water that just arrived before him. ”I can only hope the rest of the battles in this city will be just as easy.” he sighed with a reassured smile, matching her own small one that she had shown him. He really wished the fighting in the area would cease soon. Blood really didn’t agree with him. Aden was not liking this mission at all. It didn't sound difficult, but it was sure boring so far. He and Alexis, both Pokemon Rangers, were to go to Accumula Town and remove any Nox from the area. Simple enough, except for the fact that they had yet to find any Nox trainers, and worsened by the fact that there was nothing to see in this town. Looking at his partner, Ryu the Riolu, who was perched upon his shoulder instead of inside a pokeball, he saw that the Pokemon hadn't noticed anything either. He glanced over to Alexis. "I don't know what they expected us to find, but we haven't found it. I say we go and grab a drink." he said, indicating a nearby bar. Walking inside, he looked at a small menu posted inside the door. Ryu, however, had other ideas. He started making little noises, trying to pry Aden's attention away from the menu. "Not now, buddy." Ryu was being stubborn, however, and started tugging Aden's ear. "Ow, stop it!" said Aden, in a sharp undertone, but he looked at Ryu a'nd saw something interesting. He was emanating a blue aura from his hands. He only ever did that when he was nervous. He was now staring intently at a man with flaming red hair, and a lady wearing a cape that seemed to be fitted for the man next to her. Aden's attention, however, was on the man. "Alexis, get over here!" he called. He then pointed to the man, specifically his hair. "Does this man look at all familiar to you?" he asked. He silently reached for his Solrock's pokeball, brushing his hand against his tranq pistol that he carried in lieu of what others called a "proper sidearm". Looking again to Alexis, he said "Please, please tell me that that isn't Lance."

Todays mission involved stopping any Nox members that were giving the strength of Lux any problems. Though the whole time that Alexis and Aden were "scouting" out the area. There was not a Nox member in sight. Perhaps right now was a "lunch break" for everyone. Yeah..that's it. Everybody's on a lunch break. Alexis nodded off to Aden's idea of going to the bar. The young blood was completely speechless at the moment. Though everything was calm, the fact still remains that the opposing Nox members could be anybody. His lack of experience in combat made him very nervous as well. Walking inside the bar, Alexis ordered a nice, big, juicy sandwich. He picked the sandwich up, biting into it slowly to enjoy the moment while it lasted. The scent coming off the ham really got to him. It seemed like Aden was new to everything as a pokemon trainer as well. Though he was really talkative at the moment..something Alexis didn't like. Alexis didn't really know what to think about Aden for the first few hours he's spent with him. Aden's yelling made Alexis snap out of his little day dream. Alexis kept his sandwich in his hands, walking over to Aden whilst looking down at Aden's Riolu. The small pokemon was creating an aura with his hands. Aden pointed over to a man with spiky hair, also an attractive female was sitting next to the man. Alexis took a bite out of his sandwich, putting Aden's finger down with an unoccupied hand. A large gulp could be heard, swallowing a piece of the sandwich before he whispered: "It is very impolite to point at people." Alexis glanced over for split second, realizing that it was actually him. One of the big dogs of the Pokemon world. Lance. "Yo..I respect Lance as a trainer and all...but damn, that girl next to him is hot. Should I try to make a move? She looks feisty." Alexis looked over at the female, checking her out. The young trainer took another bite out of his sandwich, nodding in agreement as he continued to check her out.

Alyssa had sipped down the remains of her water and almost choked in surprise when she felt something touch her back. Although she’d been looking at Lance to speak, her gaze had moved away to take a drink. She looked up immediately, the sudden, surprised motion sending hair that had been deliberately tucked behind her ears against her jaw and into her line of vision. After staring at Lance for a moment, it took her that full time to realize what he was doing, and a blush spread over her cheeks. The black cape he was almost never seen without was now draped over her shoulders, placed there by its owner. The half-hooded back of the cape came up behind her head and stopped just above her ears. She practically swam in the accessory, and she was sure it almost touched the floor.
The white-haired trainer heard the door open and close, but now only a small puff of air was felt, thanks to the extra layer between her skin and the winter weather slipping inside through the door. I guess that answers my question… she thought a bit smugly, rolling her shoulders forward a bit to pull the cape further onto them so it didn’t risk falling off. Alyssa didn’t move her gaze as it met Lance’s. She could see the amusement dancing in his eyes to couple the smile that pulled at his mouth. She tried to maintain a rather serious look before her own expression split into a grin as well, and she chuckled quietly.
What a fan of his wouldn’t give to even touch his cape, much less wear it… she mused silently as he shifted his position, speaking to her again.
”There were more of them than we expected, but like you said, luckily none of them were stupid enough to face both of us. I can only hope the rest of the battles in this city will be just as easy.”
She nodded slightly in agreement, looking at him for a moment in silence before speaking. ”If there are even any battles left…due to the fighting the Town was deserted to begin with but since we made an entrance the population seems to have diminished even further, perhaps because the Lux grunts have told their comrades to stay safe rather than bold…”
She paused, her eyes staying locked with his though her mind moved elsewhere. ”If only the war was solved as easily as this…people and pokémon wouldn’t die…innocent blood wouldn’t be shed so mercilessly…” She came back to reality seconds later, blinking with the startled realization that she’d said that out loud and the thought had not just stayed in her head.
”…er…my thoughts got away from me there…” she admitted, a sheepish laugh lightening the mood from the words she’d just spoken. ”Sorry about that.” She tilted the ice around in her glass before quickly adding. ”Thanks for this, by the way…” she said with a fuller smile, looking back at him as she shrugged to gesture to the cape. ”It’s already keeping me warmer, though I must say if it were much larger I could probably pass for a floating cape and nothing more.” she told him with a light-hearted laugh.
She was about to open her mouth to speak again when she heard an outburst from the corner of the tiny restaurant, not far from herself and the Dragon Master. A glance to the side of her peripheral vision and through her strands of white hair showed him to be pointing at Lance, his other hand lowered to his belt. Alyssa tensed immediately and gently tapped Lance’s wrist to grab his attention discreetly. The one that had lowered his hand to his belt remained nervous, a tiny Riolu by his side watching them as well, and a young blond boy that seemed to be watching them, or more specifically her seeing as his gaze hadn’t moved.
”Lance…” she had dropped her voice since their conversation was potentially no longer private. ”The two boys that just entered…one seems to be afraid…pointing at you with a hand on his belt, and a Riolu beside him..” she explained quietly so Lance wouldn’t need to turn. He wouldn’t be able to do so as discreetly as her seeing as she was closer to them and had hair to hide her gaze from the onlookers. ”The other….is actually beginning to make me feel a bit off. He looked at you but now he’s only looking at me…stay alert..”
She moved her free hand to the collar of Lance’s cape, drawing it more over her shoulders as she gripped the two sides of it lightly in her fist, appearing as though she had ignored the two boys entirely.

He could not seem to take his eyes of Alyssa nor the amused grin of his face as he stared at her. Placing the glass back down, he continued to observe her from his comfortable position that being his slightly tilted head lying lazily in his palm. Even watching her required some willpower on his part. He had to contain the laughter than tried to escape him every now and then, it threatening to swell up and explode from his belly. Hence, the reason why he kept drowning it away with the glass of water every time the feeling returned.
To think the women that stood toe to toe with him in a fierce and destructive battle just weeks ago, now looked almost fragile and innocent was almost surreal. Her reaction and blushing cheeks were immensely amusing. She really just was…cute and the oversized cape that threatened to drown her only seemed to enhance her cuteness.
Listening to her words, he nodded in agreement with what she said. Since they arrived in this town, the battles in the area had dropped significantly due to the reputation the two of them carried. Still, every now and then a fool who wanted to be a hero showed up before them and made the worst mistake of their lives challenging both of them. They soon learned their lesson and would probably not recover mentally from the onslaught they received to pokemon battle again…well not anytime soon.
”Don’t worry about it. The cape looks better on you anyway.” he said jokingly, a slight laugh accompanying his words and emphasizing that he was just joking around. Despite the seriousness of the mission they had to accomplish, it was refreshing being with Alyssa on it. How long since he had laughed like this and so freely. If he really tried, he could simple forget about the war and just enjoy this illusion right now, just him and Alyssa. Unfortunately reality had a way of breaking one’s illusions pretty easily without fail.
The cold air that gushed in signalled the arrival of another customer into the bar. It really is chilly without my cape on. He thought, ignoring who came through the doors. However, the touch from Alyssa’s hand instantly sharpened his attention towards her. He had to strain his ears slightly to hear Alyssa’s soft spoken words, but hear them he did.
”Nox?” He muttered softly to Alyssa but partly to himself as well. If they were Nox, then he would have to tread carefully in this situation. Also judging by what Alyssa said, they already knew who he was, and possibly her as well. Damn, how careless of them. To get caught unguarded like this was stupidity on his part. Yep, reality had a way of breaking one’s illusions.
He figured he could play it safe but the reality was that those two knew who he was , yet he had no information about them or their identity at all. They were also cornered in this bar as well, so playing defensive now would be pointless. His lips curled into a smug smirk once again. He had an idea.
Placing his arm carefully around her shoulders, he leaned in over to her, moving her hair away from her cheek, but covering her ear and partly his face, and gently kissed her on the cheek. This would keep the appearance of them being a couple here at the bar, but also gave him an excuse to get close to her.
”Just play along for now. Also keep alert and on guard. You should be able to get a pokeball ready without them noticing thanks to the cape, right? ” He whispered in ear briefly as he pulled back from her, a satisfied smile brimming brightly on his face. Suddenly catching sight of the two new arrivals, he stared at each them for a moment. His eyes widened slightly at the sight of the riolu, he gave a quaint smile at it. ”My, my, what a cute riolu you have there. I haven’t seen one of those in quite some time. The last one I saw was when I battled some white haired fellow. His one was pretty strong, how about yours?” He said almost joyfully, his hands clapping together delightfully as he now faced them on his bar stool; his one foot already on the wooden floor but more importantly one of his pokeballs lay hidden on the counter behind him. It being placed there discreetly while he had moved in for the kiss. With his pokeball ready, he only waited for Alyssa to do the same while he continued this farce of his to distract them, though partly in the hopes of discovering who they were. Despite the bright pretence he displayed now, he remained deadly alert for any suspicious movement from either of the two. sure what Lux had set him up for, but it appeared they figured that it would only take a spark of tension to light the flames of conflagration in the sleepy Unova town. It still seemed like an odd place to stir up a fight. If it were by all means possible, Mikael would have attempted to avoid it. It was all quite ironic, especially since he had excellent aim. It was real hypocrisy at almost its finest anyways. He carried around a gun but prayed to Arceus that he wouldn't have to use it. If the skill was laid to rest, so be it. It would be for the best. "Glaeee?" the Pokémon at his side chimed. Mikael glanced at the Glaceon at his heels. "... Looks like this is the place, Laelia," he mused as the Glaceon gave him a curt nod. He glanced briefly at the small piece of paper clutched between his fingers. "Patrat Parlor. Yeah, this is it." He wasted no more time with idleness. The restaurant was bright, warm, and welcoming. It was strange. He'd expected the tension in the air to be so thick that he'd be able to slide a knife through it like a stick of partially melted butter. He was surprised by the light laughter that tittered through the air like a Butterfree. It was a decent place, what with its white tablecloths and silver cutlery. Hell, there was even a small bouquet of flowers for each table. Aden, at least, was easy to spot out. The young man was dressed rather casually in a long-sleeved white shirt and baggy jeans. Unconsciously, Mikael raised a hand to fiddle with the brown-orange goggles resting crooked upon his forehead. The Glaceon gave her trainer a slight push as they entered the restaurant. The glass door gave a pleasant little tinkle noise as it swung open. If there was one thing that Mikael was good at, it was blending in with walls. He was approximately the same age as the Lux teens seated at their table, or at least, give or take two years when it came to Aden. "Thanks for waiting for me," he said to the two, casually taking a seat across from Aden and Alexis. "You are excused," he murmured, glancing in his direction. "Alexis, I got a call from your mother. She's out looking for you. You should stop disappearing without letting her know since I'm getting tired of playing messenger." And as he'd entered, Mikael had caught sight of the very Alyssa and Lance Draconis. Fuck. Well. Good thing he had Laelia with him. The Glaceon had taken a seat at the empty chair of the table and was currently sniffing at the table top. Blizzard was going to be a handy move if things got out of control. He had Julius and Ignis to depend on as well. It was rather unfortunate that the restaurant was so small. Romulus was restless and so was Marius. The Wailord hadn't gotten much fresh air lately, what with being kept inside a Pokéball that was held away in a PC system. His eyes flickered over in Lance and Alyssa's direction, not even bothering to force an amiable expression. It would have been too fake and a poker face was MIkael's normal expression he chose to wear anyways. And it also appeared that Lance had taken an interest in Aden's Riolu. Laelia watched on curiously, paws shifting slightly as he curled her tail over the front ones. Mikael's eyes were trained upon both Lance and Alyssa. He knew who they were and they knew who Aden and he were. It would have been foolish to continue lying to each other. The least he could do was at least seem respectful. Maybe then Lance would feel more humanized towards him and not unleash the full wrath of his dragons upon him. "Sir Draken," he began. "It's a pleasure to see you here." And that was exactly his sign for Aden to attack. After all, they were not here to mingle and socialize. Aden was sipping a glass of water and glaring at Alexis, who was giving off strong stalker vibes towards Lance and his mystery girlfriend when another Lux trainer walked into the restaurant, with a Glaceon at his heels. Around that time, Lance asked him about his Riolu. "He's a decent fighter, but he's more of a scout than anything. He's really good at picking out Nox sympathizers. He doesn't seem to like you." Aden let that sentence hang in the air, and turned to the trainer. He recognized Mikael. He hadn't actually met Mikael, but had heard of him, and his infamously destructive Wailord. This was not going to end well. He noticed Mikael whisper something to Alexis, something about his mother. Alexis then got up and left. He looked back at Mikael, who was talking to Lance. "Sir Draken, it's a pleasure to see you here." Mikael seemed to subtly indicate Aden's partner, Ryu. Aden got the message, but he wasn't going to start the fight off by attacking. Not against Lance. Grabbing Ryu's Poke-ball, he recalled the Riolu. He knew that the little guy hated that, but he preferred a traditional type battle, with only one Pokemon per participant. Grabbing his Linoone's Poke-ball, he threw it into the air. He muttered so that the Pokemon was the only one who could hear him, "Use Substitute." A puff of smoke appeared, and when it cleared, there was a perfect copy of the Pokemon, and the real one was lying, hidden, behind some tables. The copy had about a fourth of Linoone's endurance, but couldn't attack. He figured that the thing would probably be toast soon enough.

Alyssa had nearly missed his light-hearted compliment. Oh please... she had thought. The cape is sized for you, and it’s practically a signature to your iconic image... She hadn’t spent much time dwelling on those thoughts, though, for the more important matter at hand were the two young boys that seemed to have two very different reactions to their presence. She could feal the gaze of the one boring into her back like a drill against wood, while the other seemed to have an air of nervousness about him. She was by no means a Psychic that could sense the feelings of people and pokemon alike, but his Riolu seemed to have a similar reaction to her presence as well as Lance’s.
The Dragon Master’s murmer only aided to make Hoenn’s Leader feel as though her suspicions were correct. The possibility that the two behind them were Lux was rather high, given the reaction of the seemingly more nervous trainer, the other, on the other hand, seemed like the cocky sort of person. I can’t say I approve...too many arrogant trainers in the past have been dis-heartened by falling to the crushing defeat of a more experienced trainer... His next actions, however, were something that surprised her – genuinely surprised her, that is – for the first time in weeks. An arm was placed lightly around her shoulders across the top of her back. Had her common sense been away vacationing somewhere and not realized that the only person able to do that at the moment was Lance, she would have jumped a foot in the air out of surprise.
This time, however, she felt herself relax slightly – opposite from what she expected even of herself. At best, she had expected the muscles in her shoulder to tense initially at the contact before fading as they had immediately. What Indigo’s Champion did next, though, was even more of a surprise. He leaned closer to her, and brushed the hair from her cheek. He was close enough that she could hear him breathe. Then, he kissed her on the cheek. Her skin immediately flooded with color, and she felt her heart skip a beat. She remained perfectly still, save for the slight tilt of her head towards him, partially to hear his hushed words, and partially because of some instinctual reaction she was relatively unfamiliar with.
Lance pulled away and turned to look at the two younger boys near them, and Alyssa glanced at the bar, now behind the Indigo Champion. He had discreetly placed a pokeball there, ready for an attack. We must be ready for anything...and here we’re relatively cornered... she thought, groaning inwardly as she moved her left arm across her torso, reaching for her right hip in a manner that would be relatively undetected. She pulled the small sphere off of her belt and crossed her arms in a manner that would hide it efficiently until needed. Turning around herself, she half-stepped, half-hopped off of the bar stool upon which she had been sitting. Thanks to how much she’d pulled Lance’s cape over her shoulders and held the excess in her right fist, the fabric only fell to mid-shin height, as it would have on him.
The second of the two younger boys was dismissed and the other one with the Riolu had called his Emanation Pokemon back and released a Linoone, a native of Hoenn. Alyssa couldn’t help but smile slightly at the sight of the Rushing Pokemon, being reminded of her home region, and the small smile on her face stayed when she noticed the Glaceon by the new arrival’s heels. Glaceon... it reminded her of home, too, seeing as one of Daybreak’s parents had been the Fresh Snow Pokemon. They are enemies, though.. she reminded herself, narrowing her eyes. With the release of the Linoone, there was no doubt in Alyssa’s mind. It’s time to fight...
Glancing up at Lance, trying to meet his red gaze before she looked back at the Lux members, she nodded slightly and focused her attention on the battle that was undoubtedly about to erupt before her. Her eyes darted to the puff of smoke that erupted from the Linoone. ...strange... The smoke cleared and it appeared as though nothing had happened. Oh, wait... Alyssa thought, narrowing her eyes slightly. That was a move she’d not seen in a while...nor had ever used. She was relatively unfamiliar with it before being aware of what it did.
Substitute...right? To her, that didn’t matter, though. Her target was the Glaceon...as much as it pained her to go after such a beautiful creature.
Dropping the pokeball she had in her hand hidden beneath Lance’s cape, it bounced to her feet before up at her hand, but not until it released a red flash of energy that materialized as a Blaziken. Placing the ball back on her belt, Alyssa looked at the Blaze pokemon. Her claws were sharp and she was on her toes – literally. Her long arms were at the ready in a defensive position, claws crossed while she bounced lightly on her toes, ready for an order from her trainer.
”Looks like there’s no getting out of this one...” she said calmly, loud enough for the two Lux members across from her to hear. Dropping her voice slightly so that only she, Lance, and Blaziken could hear, she gave her pokemon the first command. ”Let's start out with an Agility, Blaziken.”
Her body outlined in glowing white, Blaziken's preparatory bouncing increased slightly before she shifted her weight from foot to foot, seeming to vanish from where she stood and re-appearing seconds later either closer to or further from Alyssa. For now, she would remain close to her trainer, but when needed, move in to her opponent to use the speed boost to her advantage. Keeping the pace of vanishing then re-appearing in another location a short distance off, she awaited her next command or an attack.
Next I'll attack the Glaceon...getting it off the battlefield with Blaziken will help Lance out, Ice is powerful against Dragons. But, I need to be careful. That Glaceon may know Mirror Coat.
She would back Lance up as needed.

The arrival of another young male only sought to increase tensions even further, especially since he didn’t bother hiding his attentions at all and addressed the dragon champion casually. Giving Alyssa a quick side glance he focused his attention to the man that addressed him, his features showing a polite smile yet his body language showing caution as he now stood from his seated position.
”Well well, seems like I’m pretty famous among Lux still. I guess the president finally decided to send a dragon slayer after me, mmm?” he mused out loud, his ruby eyes examining the glaceon at the new trainer’s side.
An ice-type would really be annoying against my dragons. Seems like his pretty serious right off the bat.
Lance’s attention on the new arrival and his pokemon was broken quickly when the other male returned his riolu and released another pokemon just as quickly. Lance was not familiar with the pokemon at all but he was certain the man was getting ready for battle. Alyssa’s release of her own Blaziken signalled her readiness and alertness for battle as well. Seemed like things were about to get out of hand yet again, much to his disappointment. He didn’t know the strength of the opponents before him but Lance held full confidence in his partner’s abilities as a trainer, knowing first hand her fearsome prowess for battle. She would be able to handle herself in this situation but, unfortunately, he couldn’t say the same for himself. The bar’s small, crapped space would not allow for freedom of movement for most of his dragons, their size being a disadvantage inside the bar.
Still it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the champion. He still had one pokemon he could utilize in a cramped environment such as this. The enemy had already released two pokemon out, which meant he couldn’t hesitate any longer, despite the mixed feelings he had about releasing the pokemon in the pokeball behind him. Swiftly spinning on his heels, Lance rotated anti-clockwise in a full 360 degrees; his right hand grabbing the pokeball on the counter and in a single continuous motion, utilized his momentum from the spin and tossed the pokeball towards the two opponents before him.
While in mid-flight the ball opened up to reveal the slender blue form of Luna, her cloud-like wings spreading majestically as she flew straight towards the two young men in her path. ”Luna, Sky Attack!” Lance announced, his body now slightly hunched as stood alert for any movement from the enemy, another pokeball already firmly in his left palm. Sparkling blue energy poured from Luna’s body, enveloping her with a blue trail of power, causing the azure pokemon to resemble a comet speeding through space. With a last delicate cry, she charged with all her might towards the Lux duo and beyond.
Giving a side glance at Alyssa and her Blaziken he waited for the next move. [/style] [style=font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase;]TAGS, Aden, Alyssa, Mika NOTES, took too long CODED BY TSU DOLL OF LOVE STAMP.[/style] |

he commanded, to which the ice type Pokémon gave her trainer a curt nod. He unclipped a Pokéball from his belt before tossing it into the air. The capsule burst open and a red light flooded the restaurant before taking shape of a bipedal Pokémon. When it all faded away, a staunch Lucario was revealed. The Pokémon grunted at the sight of Alyssa and Lance, eyes quickly shifting towards the the Blaziken and Altaria. Of course Mikael wasn't going to send the Glaceon in. That would have been suicide. The Blaziken could have thawed her out on the spot, plus a well-aimed fighting type move would have put her out of commission too. Speaking of which, the Blaziken was particularly dangerous for Aden's Linoone. Normal type Pokémon were weak against fire types. So was Julius, to an extent, but Mikael had faith in the Lucario. "Julius, Dragon Dance, follow up with an Aura Sphere!" Mikael believed in both offensive and supporting moves. Dragon Dance would boost the Lucario's attack strength and speed. Mikael always felt safer with a Pokémon faster than his opponent's, unless it was a particularly heavy-duty Pokémon such as Romulus. The Steelix could take a countless number of hits before caving in. Julius snarled, his lips curling back to reveal pointed canines as he made a slight pirouette, eyes flashing red. He felt a primal instinct to go after the Blaziken. Clapping his blue paws together, the Lucario began to build up the strength of an Aura Sphere before letting it loose inside the restaurant. Briefly, Mikael thought he heard the yelling of the restaurant manager, something to the effects of, "Hey you! You can't do that, stop!" But all was vanity. This was a mission that Lux had assigned to him and he would see to its successful end. Mikael's fingertips ghosted over his right thigh. Ah, yes. The pistol was still there, loaded and ready to fire. He never bothered hiding the gun. There was no need. It was common knowledge that Lux had the tendencies to carry around firearms anyways. It wasn't illegal for them. In fact, it was quite supported. Most people believed it to be foul play to command a Pokémon to attack another human or trainer, but guns were all fair game. It made him feel useful, helpful towards the battles that his Pokémon were fighting. All they had to do was stall Alyssa and Lance, or at least ensure that they would not pull any tricks in the near future. There was only one real way to secure that. Mikael really had been hoping to avoid the use of his gun, but if it came to that, he would not hesitate to pull the trigger. He had to stay one step ahead of these two Nox members if he and Aden even had any hopes of winning. "Aden, get the Altaria!" he shouted above the noise of overturned tables and shattering dishes that Julius' Aura Sphere left in its wake. Hurtling through the air, the blue orb was headed directly towards Alyssa's Blaziken.[/style] Kane, Kai, Zero COUNT 548 NOTES LATEST REPLY EVER Mikael will probably pull the gun out in the next post?[/style] of PRE[/style]

Aden saw the Altaria's Sky Attack coming, and ducked. The substitute, however, didn't move. It couldn't move. It got nailed and exploded in another large puff of smoke, enough to hopefully obscure Aden while he recalled Linoone and threw out another pokeball. This one opened up to reveal a small, red Vulpix. "Todd, safeguard and ember, hit the Altaria!" he called out, drawing his tranq pistol and loading a four-shot clip into it. This was a much better alternative to shooting the Lance and the other Nox trainer with bullets. He showed the open side of another clip with tranq needles poking out to Mikael by turning it slightly in his hand, not wanting to tip his hand just yet. After all, the gun somewhat looked like a 9mm, so it might be more intimidating if the non-lethality factor wasn't known. He also knew ember wasn't going to do much, but this was a bit of a problem. He saw Mikael switch pokemon and was stunned to see a Lucario standing there, launching an Aura Sphere. *And to think,* he thought to himself, *Ryu's going to be like that someday.* That was going to be strange, after so long of being able to have the little guy on his shoulder. Anyway, that Blaziken was going to be a problem. The only Ice-type here was that Glaceon, and fire melts ice. However, there wasn't much Aden's team could do to fire-types.

Alyssa’s blue eyes narrowed slightly and she nodded a bit to herself as Lance sent out his first pokemon – a lovely Altaria. The small Cloud Nine pokemon was commanded to attack and moved immediately. Its body glowed with growing energy as the attack was prepared before soaring towards the opponents. Turning slightly sideways towards the two males before her, one of which had just released a Lucario, she pulled Lance’s cape back slightly with her elbow, placing her hand on her belt over a pokeball, clipped on her hip. She felt the cape brush lightly against the back of her calf as she pulled the red and white ball off of the leather around her hips.
Lance appears ready to send a second pokemon out as needed... she observed, glancing at the former champion beside her with a small smile. He was a fearsome battler – she had first-hand experience that could speak for that. Not to mention, his fame as a Champion was more than enough to make another trainer quail under the knowledge that he was a talented enough battler to hold off numerous challengers from taking his title.
The protests from the patrons in the bar made Alyssa frown and bite her lip. This was not the ideal place for a battle, not at all. The Aura Sphere ripped through the center of the restaurant, racing from the Lucario towards her Blaziken, who’s frentic Agility ended with a jump into the air, almost last-second. As she tucked her long legs beneath her body, the large Aura Sphere skirted beneath her legs, clipping her shins as it breezed by. Had she not used the Agility, she would have been too slow to avoid it. Even now, it was a close call. Having missed, it flew back into the bar which Lance and Alyssa had just been sitting at, shattering the wooden fixture on impact, sending splinters flying in the direction of the two Nox members.
”Ack!” she exclaimed, raising her arm (and Lance’s cape) to defend herself from the shower of wodden sharpnel. From beneath the cape she threw out her second pokeball, light flashing as it revealed her second pokemon – a Lucario of her own.
Velda was crouched, her paws raised defensively as she took a position beside Blaziken, who had landed after the explosion of wood. Blaziken’s flank had been riddled with splinters, but it wasn’t anything that would stop the Blaze pokemon from fighting. Lowering her arm and removing cover from her face, she shouted commands at her pokemon. ”Blaziken, Sky Uppercut the –“ she glanced down, seeing that the Linoone’s Substitute had been destroyed by the Sky Attack, and the Linnone had been recalled and replaced with a Vulpix. ” – the Vulpix!” she ordered. ”And Velda, use Extremespeed on his Lucario!”
Her pokemon raced off, Blaziken’s fists glowing blue as she ran for the small Fox pokemon, and Velda raced for her brother pokemon, her sharp teeth bared in a ferocious snarl as an aura of white energy enclosed around her body, her feet moving so fast that they were a blur as she reached out to strike the opponent’s Lucario.
Turning to look at the half-destroyed bar, Alyssa’s eyes filled with concern as she saw the innocent bartender running through the back, some blood speckling his shirt. He didn’t appear to be too badly injured, though he was still hit by the destruction of his piece. ”What the hell is your problem?!” she demanded, turning to face the Lux member owning the Lucario. ”And Lux claims that Nox are terrorists! What do you mean by starting a battle in a space like this, let alone using a technique like Aura Sphere?!”
Her anger at Lux flashed, primarily because of the reactions she saw from the few patrons that had been there, staff not included. Control your temper, Alyssa... she told herself, with a mental warning not to let things get out of hand.
