[classy=words]The first thing easily noticeable about Astraeus is his massive size. Although he has no legs to stand upon, this titan is roughly thirty feet in length. His size alone is enough to intimidate whomever he hovers before. He is a flying, serpentine-like creature with rudder-like wings that run down his entire body. He has three sets of wings in total, two that jut out behind his shoulder blades, and one against his midsection with the last closer to his tail that have four red-tipped 'rudders' on them. His tail is similar to these rudders as well, having three red-tipped rudders as well surrounding the actual point. Along his body there run a series of yellow rings connected by a single, straight line. It stars as one large circle atop his head that falls down the nape of his neck in a single line before splitting to two to run on both sides of his body. He has about two yellow rings per body segment. The rings are capable of glowing at night and when Astraeus is aggravated. This titan is not entirely limbless, though, for he has two long arms with three clawed fingers coming off of what could be called his 'chest'. His grip is powerful, and once it is entirely closed, only a valiant fighter would be able to wrestle free of it. The black lines that cut into his body across his chest are actually dark-colored scars from a fight he had long ago. Just behind the black eyes with yellow-gold pupils, there are two incredibly long horns that jut out of the back of his head. These horns are each eight feet in length, and are essential to his powerful, fire-type attack. Mirroring these are two horns jutting from the line of his bottom jaw. These two horns are each four feet in length - exactly half of the two more prominent horns. Astraeus' lips are tinged red, but do not let the fact that they are lips fool you - they are hardened, having fused with the fangs within his mouth to increase the damage dealt when he bites down upon an opponent. Some of his normal fangs are still visible as they grow in behind other fangs. Finally, and perhaps the least noticeable detail to his appearance is the Blue Ribbon tied around the wrist of his left arm. It was a gift from a lover he had once upon a time, and she gave it to him in order to keep him safe and strong during battle.She presented him with the entire 'rainbow' of colored ribbons to wear on any day, although the blue one is his favorite. If he wears all ribbons at once, his body takes on a multi-colored glow (contrary to simply a single color brought about by one ribbon) and as he flies through the air at impossible speeds, he is capable of lighting the sky with what the pokemon of the world have come to know as the Aurora Borealis.[/classy]

[classy=words]Very aggressive - chaotic - forceful - persuasive - headstrong - confident - proud - territorial - loyal to himself and those very few important to him. One needs only to glance at this titan to see for themselves that he is anything but something that will back down from a fight. He prides himself in the power he possesses, and he is a hardened battler. He is quick-witted and intelligent when it comes to battle, and he holds no regard for his opponents or the area the battle takes place when he deems someone else worthy enough to do battle with him. As soon as the battle starts, you can expect him to make the first move. Occasionally, he will simply bully his opponents into submission without actually attacking. Other pokemon that he views as his rivals (though he would never admit it) such as other titans, he will be more serious about fighting. When facing gods or goddesses, though, you can expect no mercy from him. Most of the time he maintains his proud demeanor, and is rather laid-back about rules and regulations. He doesn't care for them at all, even his own. However, he still expects others not to cross him or infuriate him, lest they face his wrath. He has a few select followers that he doesn't view as pupils, but more as followers. He would never admit that he actually prides himself in bettering others and turning them in to stronger fighters. They are a close-knit group and their loyalty are to themselves and their teammates. They are allowed to have friends, yes, but they cannot have loyalty outside of their select group. If Astraeus found out about something such as that, the group member would be severely punished. There has only been one pokemon in all the world that has seen the deeply hidden, ferociously guarded soft side of this titan. That is long-buried history, though, and it is likely to remain as such. She was vastly important to him, and after the parted ways, he wasn't the same as he had been beforehand; he grew bitter and for lack of a better word, miserable.[/classy]

[classy=words]Rayquaza was created by Arceus centuries ago. He sprang from the chest of Gaia, the wreathed cross around Gaia's stomach standing as the general shape of Astraeus' head, the four horns on his head in particular are the main semblance Astraeus has to his creator. The green coloration of his body stuck from Gaia as well, seeing as the creator's 'wheel' was green at the time. Astraeus pulled all of the green coloration from Gaia at that time and took it as his own, and supplemented it with the natural yellow coloration of Gaia running through the rivets in his body. Now, they make the glowing patterned lines tattooing him. Even as a young Titan, Astraeus felt the need to assert the dominance he felt he had over others. He was never afraid to take adversity by the horns, and always accepted a challenge whenever it was presented. He was never one to stay out of a fight, much to the displeasure of Gaia and other calmer, less aggressive Titans, Gods, and Goddesses. He lived a good portion of his life like this, until the day Hades and Demeter first fought. The war they waged upset the balance of the entire planet, causing natural disasters and weather calamities all over the globe despite their presence only in one place. They warred for thirty days and thirty nights, casting aside any Titan or God(dess) that tried to interrupt them. Finally, Astraeus was forced to quell their fighting. His appearance instantly presented his ability to the public eye of the other deities - the ability to control the weather. His appearance proved that he could stop any sort of weather in the area, but what was not shown is that he may also, if he chooses, amplify bad weather. For the rest of his days, he carried the responsibility of quelling the fighting of the two gods, finding it to be an annoying and mundane task because he found it comparable to the way children behaved, failing to see that it could serve as a good reminder to how he acted when he was younger. It was at this later point in his life that he found his first love, but it was also at this point in his life that he tangled with Coeus, fighting the aggressive Titan that was ballsy enough to lumber into the ozone layer. The immense battle they had received both of them punishment - Coeus was banned to the Distortion World while Astraeus was charged with the duty of guarding the ozone layer, forever circling the globe at the incredible speed his streamlined body was capable of flying at, and only landing at the Sky Tower minimally. Truthfully, Astraeus had no issue with this other than it forced him to be apart from his lover, who decided it best they go their separate ways because of the new duty the green dragon had to keep to. As a departing gift she gave him the ribbons he keeps safe at all times. The dawn of the clash of Titans and Gods, Astraeus tangled with Apollo as the sun rose through the sky, high above the other fights that took place. After teaching the God his place, Astraeus knew it was an appropriate time to descend. Although he cared not for the fighting or his fellow Titans, he cared about the possibility that he would lose power. Without a second thought, he took both Aeolos and Zephyr on at once, and this rash action spelled his demise. He fell into the claws of Hades, who dragged him deep below the surface of the earth to where he was assumed to be unable to escape. At the last moment, his unconscious body was protected by a cocoon of psychic energy cast by Mnemosyne, though not to his knowledge. It kept him safe in the fiery cell Hades kept his previous 'guardian' within. It took his body months to recover from the terrible injuries he sustained, particularly a near-fatal wound to his chest which riddled it permanently with the deep black scars. In the time it took him to wake and return to full power, he began devising a way to escape. The fire of Hades' cell was not at full power because of his presence, so an ever-shining light was absent from above. He took the time to train himself, using the heat and fire around him to his advantage until he was able to use V-Create, a technique he had long desired to copy from Athena for himself. With the power of the fire, he broke through the cell and escaped, forcing through the layers of earth with the intense heat of the fire lighting his head and horns. For the most part, he now stays at the Sky Tower, fighting only when necessary, or training the members of his team. He is able to sense changes in the weather, or when his air space and ozone layer are disturbed. He is merciless in battle and will see the Titans to their former glory.[/classy]
