THE BASICS

NAME: Her full name is Kyou Sora Ichirou, however, she often only gives her first name when talking to people. The few people she talks to often enough to grant her a nickname can call her Ky (pronounced 'Key'). Though she prefers to go by her first name, she readily responds to her surname Ichirou, almost more readily than her first name.

AGE & BIRTHDAY: Kyou was born Twenty-six (26) years ago on June 13^th.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION:

Although she dislikes men, she is sexually attracted to them and is heteroromantic. If women flirt with her thinking she's a male, she will flirt back but make no advances on them, though will allow them to be made on her so long as she keeps her clothes. That being said, she is too protective of her physical appearance to be seen by either gender without her clothes, and is therefore asexual, as she will never willingly engage in anything where she has to lose her clothes at this point in her life.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

In one word, Kyou is a trap. Biologically, she is female. However, she identifies as neither male nor female, and is highly androgynous in both physical makeup, voice, and hobbies. Even better? It doesn't bother her in the slightest. She stands at five feet five inches tall and weighs in at roughly one hundred fourty pounds - initially a surprising weight, though explained with her habits. Her weight is largely muscle, as she is leads an active lifestyle that comes from both running and weightlifting. Though she holds lean frame, when she's not dressed in her normal working suits or whitecoats there is muscle visibly outlined in her limbs and torso...not that anybody will ever easily see her torso and chest.

Her face is mildly narrow and her eyes almond-shaped, typical of an Asian. However, her hair is almost colored a red-brown with black undertone. It is close enough to her natural hair color that she's almost never asked about it. Her hair comes to the nape of her neck and has a rather spiked-shaggy cut, allowing her bangs even to fall low. Her eyes are a rich brown and match her hair.

Finally, and perhaps the reason she is so androgynous physically aside from her face, build, hair, and voice, is because she has no breasts. In a portion of her life story she would rather nobody find out, she was maimed (or perhaps a better word here would be tortured). She was conscious when the people who did it put the knife to her skin and cut the first off. The pain alone from it made her pass out, and she woke up with her chest bandaged in a hospital. Now rather than breasts she has two terrible scars over her pectoral muscles. Also, she has two long - and less jagged - on her lower abdomen to show where she was cut into for her ovaries to be removed in that same event.

HISTORY:

Kyou was born in the Shikoku province of Japan twenty-six years ago on June thirteenth. She was raised under a strict household in the Shinto religion - which she still clings to to this very day despite her dive into the world of science. Her early life was relatively normal - dabbling in one or two instruments, finding what she was and wasn't good at, physical activity, studying, etc. - until she reached the beginning years of Secondary school. Around the age of thirteen she displayed the brilliance that has gotten her into the top Universities in the two countries she's studied in. She soared academically her first year of what would be the equivalent of High School, and then proceeded to skip the subsequent two years of school, leaping straight to her last year of secondary school and graduating with close to top marks. She was accepted into the prestigious University of Tokyo, much to the pride of her parents.

Her father passed away shortly thereafter, though, but Kyou carried his will in her and succeeded in what she did, striving to be a doctor. Her time in the University of Tokyo was not wasted, though she did realize she wanted to get out of Japan before she turned eighteen. After much bartering with her mother, she moved to the United States of America where she finished her undergraduate curriculum at Harvard University as a triple major in Psychology, Sociology, and Pre-Med. In order to help finish writing her final thesis, she studied in Russia for one semester when she was a senior at age nineteen.

This was a year of her life she would rather not remember.

Delving deep into the sketchier portions of Russia's modern culture, she stumbled upon the minimally-known but thriving existence of what could have been considered cults. One in particular was the still-living Skoptsy sect (a sect which featured both male and female castration as a primary belief to reject sexual lust) that had first shown up in imperial Russia roughly 300 years ago. Although she kept her distance while learning more about the sect as a whole, she was found out and taken against her will to the leader of the small group. The talk they had wasn't unlike what business rivals would have. It was calm, collected, and overall easy to work with. However, she realized too late that she wouldn't get out to finish her paper unharmed.

The selling point for her to stay 'comfortable' in his presence was when he revealed to her that he, in fact, was a doctor. That was her mistake.

The followers of the sect had left, leading Kyou alone with the leader when he advanced on her. He knocked her mildly unconscious and when she woke up she was bound in a bedroom. He advanced on her, taking one of the few things that can't be replaced from her, as well as cutting off her breasts - leaving a lasting impression on her of what being 'too interested' in something could earn her. The doctor also cut into her and removed her ovaries. When she woke up she was in a Russian hospital with her chest bandaged, and under close watch. To this day she doesn't know how or why she was dropped off at the hospital rather than being left to die or forced to stay with the sect.

Despite this setback, she graduated from Harvard in the top percentile of students, and was accepted to Georgetown where her interest in medicine expanded fully. Although she is naturally talented as a psychologist and research-sociologist, there is nothing in the field that is rewarding enough to keep her rooted there to specialize in that particular area of medicine. She believes Neurology, Cardiology, and Orthopedics to be too straightforward and 'closed' for her liking, and lacks the steady hand needed for any sort of surgery. She isn't fond of children so could never fare well in Pediatrics or Gynecology, and would never stoop 'so low' as she would put it, to find herself in a Lab, the ER, as a nurse, or behind a desk as a legal associate. That left the openings to her field of interest to Oncology, Immunology, and Diagnostics.

She believed these three fields to be of greatest benefit to her because they are broad and would actually make her think. However, Oncology has a tendency to depress her and therefore she turned to Immunology or Diagnostic Medicine. After much debate she fell into the hands of Immunology with a true love for Pathology, two ares of study which she's managed to link quite nicely. However, sometimes she thinks about seeking a change to Diagnostics if at all possible.

Goldenrod City. It hadn’t been too long since his last visit at all. In fact, he almost felt as though the time between his visits were a dream. ”That’s nonsense.” he tells himself, the voice behind the skull-shaped mask vibrating slightly as it bounced against the hard material. His hidden eyes scanned the area, the expression completely shadowed over by the blackness cast from the eyeholes in his mask. There was chaos. Fighting everywhere. People dying, children crying. It was nearly music to his ears. The only thing missing was the fact that he was standing still on top of the Magnet Train station and not helping to escalate the levels of fear and violence. Time to get to work, shall we? He asked nothing in particular.

He raised his arms from where they were by his sides and gives himself a boost over the small barrier on the roof of the Magnet Train station. He stepped over it and dropped, so that his body was hanging from the roof like a strange black mass in midair. The mask on his face brought odd noises and fearful looks from the few people that were still at the Train, hoping to board it and zip to Kanto with a goal to get away from the fighting to somewhere they believed was more peaceful.

How sorrily wrong they were. It was almost pathetic.

Thanatos dropped from where he hung, landing in a small heap with his cloak bunched around him. He probably looked something like a giant spider that decided to commit suicide from up above. The young man reached into the cloak and pulled two cylindrical hand grenades from the depths of his pockets. The smirk behind his mask is bloodthirsty, and the look in his eyes resembled something of mania. This was going to be too fun. The sound of the screams when people realized what he was doing, then the unorganized stomping around in the desperate attempt to escape.

But.

It would be pointless.

All for nothing.

His long stride brought him close enough to the Magnet train to launch the grenades into the train cars. Convenience was the main flaw. Open windows for fresh air were more than the opportunity Thanatos had asked for. He pulls the pin from the first grenade and holds the switch down so it doesn’t blow. It’s filled with caltrops. he thinks, entertaining the idea of people being impaled by the spike-like weapons. I’ll need cover. He knew he had about ten seconds from the time he released the pressure on the top to throw it and get far enough away before it explodes. Let’s do this. The black figure raised his arm and launched the first grenade into an open window, the confused look of passengers lighting the cabin as an unknown object flew into their midst.

He ran.

He covered enough distance in five seconds.

He stopped. Four seconds.

He pulled the pin. Three seconds.

His arm drew back to aim. Two seconds.

He launched the second grenade through another open window. One second.

The black-cloaked figure dove behind one of the supporting pillars of the Train Station and barely pulled his legs up in time.

Boom.

It was like a shock wave that radiated from the first explosion. It sounded like air being released before igniting and expanding. The sound of breaking glass and shredding metal was the first thing he heard, but then he heard something better – the screams of people cut off abruptly as their lives ended. The shock of the first explosion forcibly detonated the second grenade. Shrapnel from the train, boarding area, and caltrops flew past him, scattering the open pavement with remains from the explosion.

The sounds died down and told the cloaked young man he could move.

He pulled two more round hand grenade from his cloak and pulled the pins, before sending them skittering against the ground so that they rolled onto the tracks beneath the Train. That explosion was far larger than the first.

The sound of fire roaring upward and screeching metal was the orchestra of his terrorism.

The body of the Magnet Train rocketed upward, tearing into the impossibly low roof of the station. Architectural flaw. The roof damaged, and the Train having done its job, it fell back to the ground with a momentous crash. Broken and dented metal broke concrete as the Train lay on its side, half over the tracks, half on the docking station on the side opposite Thanatos.

My work here is done.

But now for a little more fun.

He ran from his position, his legs hidden by the cloak, and its ragged tails trailing behind his body. He felt like a phantom. Better yet – a Grim Reaper. Were it not chaos, he would count his death toll. There was some respect to be gotten from that in the right people.

He pulled a pokeball from his belt, releasing his red Gyarados in a flash. The serpent pokemon curled up and its owner jumped upon its head, soon rising to the roof of a building not far from the Train station. He recalls his pokemon and thinks, a grin spreading across his face.

Another is released between two houses, this one far larger. It starts small in its form of energy, but quickly expands. The walls of the houses are forced to collapse as the pokemon takes up room. More houses are damaged when the pokemon finally gains its full mass.

A Wailord in the middle.

Of Goldenrod City.

”Wailord!” he called to it, and he saw his pokemon’s eye dart to his voice. ”Start with a Bounce, fall back with a Heavy Slam.” The pokemon is awkward on land, and it’s all it can do to obey the commands of its master. It hefted its massive body into the air, somehow gaining the ability to thrust itself that high into the air.

Then it fell.

It landed on the ground slightly to the east with a collossal impact, sending shockwaves through the air, evident by the clouds of dust being forced outward. ”Good” the trainer called, before crossing his arms and turning to look at the pokemon again. ”Now Defense Curl.” The pokemon arched its back in a U-bend, opening its massive mouth and closing its powerful lips around the flukes of its tail. The pokemon was flexible, and strong enough to keep its balance as it was.

”Rollout!”

The pokemon obliged. An unexpected addition to the plan, it had landed facing smaller buildings, but more of them. It tipped back and forth a few times to gain momentum before its body glowed white with the stored energy. A single release was all it took.

The Wailord rolled forward.

It demolished anything that stood in its path.

For the first time in a long time, Thanatos felt his lips curl in a smile spurred by something different than malicious intent. A strange sound came from his throat and continued, the force of it bringing him nearly to his knees.

He was laughing.

It felt good to laugh. Good to breathe. Good to be alive.

It was as though a murderous mania had set in.

Traps are always fun, amirite?

Meet Kyou.

Is she a girl? Is he a boy? Good luck finding out one way or another. Kyou has more-than-made a point to keep the biological gender identity a secret in Princeton Plainsboro. Having lied on the legal documents for her internship at Princeton, this young woman is indeed going under the disguise of being a male.

She's an Immunology intern at PPTH with a keen min rivaling that of most Psychologists but a love for puzzles that would have most pin her in Diagnostic Medicine. Born in Japan, she worked hard to get where she is despite the fact her gifted mind allowed her to get to where she is two years sooner than most others. She enjoys meeting others to have someone new to 'read', but she largely enjoys spending time alone and thinking. That's not to say she's asocial, though. She doesn't drive people away intentionally, but instead she isolates herself half the time for one reason or another. Despite this, she's a nice person that you would likely expect to see with many friends.

The daises and roses to her personality aren't all, though, because there's also a touch of nightshade and holly. She's stubborn and strong-willed, often not stopping to listen to anybody when she has her heart and mind set on something or knows she's correct. She doesn't let others tell her what to do very easily and she will often turn around and do what she wants to even after being instructed otherwise. She also has a sensitive self-defense system. Her anger reaches a reacting point very quickly, and nine times out of ten she will defend herself with violence - although if someone is joking around with her she won't hit as hard as if someone tried to hurt her.

She's very secretive about her personal life, but doesn't have a significant other so there's nothing to really hide. If you think she's a girl and want a girlfriend, you're open to make a pass at her. The same goes for if you think she's a boy and you want a boyfriend. However, don't expect to get too far with her. She dislikes men so it takes her a while to get anywhere with them past simply 'doctor-patient' or 'coworker' relationships. Also, she is incredibly self-conscious about her body courtesy of the scars (literally) that remain from her encounter in Russia, and would rather break a heart and stomp it into the ground than have someone find out her true gender and/or what happened to her.
