LIKES:
STOIC & SERIOUS ::Yamato, to say the least, is not the most relaxed or humorous person around. He never has much to joke around about in his shinobi life. Sure, maybe in his Academy days, but those days are well behind him. Having trained as an ANBU, his mind has been trained to eliminate most humors & emotions from his thoughts on missions. On missions he is completely focused on the task at hand, probably because as an ANBU, if there is a single screw up, it could result in the loss of a whole squad. When the mission is not as demanding, though, he will loose his tenseness a bit...but not too much. However, when he is under orders from the Hokage to act more as a Jounin than an ANBU, i.e. missions with 3-man cells, he does relax a bit and lighten up...though it is still rare that he will ever crack a joke. But, he will 'play along' with some jokes, just maybe not as greatly as some others. His joking days are mostly behind him, though he isnt a completely passive person, he can & will express emotion when necessary, or when something startles him. However, most emotions are most easily read in his eyes rather than his facial expressions.
LAID-BACK :: When not on missions, Yamato is much of a carefree person. He could spend the whole day relaxing if he was granted such a luxury, and he could also spend it finding some of the luxuries and 'goods' in life if he so wanted. However, the best example of his laid-back attitude is probably in his ability and keen attitude towards using his Mokuton Ninjutsu to create comforts on missions, such as a small house instead of camping out in the open air. He thinks that he developed this laid-back attitude from spending so much time around Kakashi Hatake.
STINGY :: Yamato is not one that could be called "in love with money" but he has a notable reluctance to spend it. There are few times where he will willingly spend his money for comforts like a Spa treatment, and those are often few and far between. Though he makes decent money as an ANBU, he prefers to let it accumulate in the off chance that he will need a decent amount all at once, but other than that he prefers to spend it on himself, and occasionally a few team members. Also, he figures that he'd be bad in the dating spectrum of things because of this reluctance to spend much on others except himself. However, he thinks that he could maybe push this aside for Doku. (Also, needless to say that a fair bit of flattery can push Yamato to pay for something)
DEMOCRATIC LEADER & SILENT AUTHORITY :: Through his ANBU missions, Yamato has gained an adeptness for leading people. He prefers not to bark straight-out commands, but rather let his squad or team help decide what the best plan of action is. He will often toss in a backbone for things like this, and let the team members build off of this so that they dont stray too far from the original plan. Also, Yamato has an air of intelligence and leadership about him that often give people the impression that he knows what he's talking about, and it would be best to let him lead the plan of action. However, there are those that Yamato has some difficulty with when it comes to following through with his orders or plans. When this is the case, Yamato often unveils his "Ghoul Face" which has a tendency to intimidate the unfortunate person he is directing it at. Despite the fact that the "Ghoul Face" can be found quite humorous for some people, often times when he is actually trying to intimidate someone, it works quite well, and he can control them out of their fear. (Despite the fact that he is a bit adverse to doing so)

After giving them a hard stare, which wasnt nearly as effective with his mask on, he turned and leapt down the tree instead of continuing on the road. He could tell by their hesitation and silence that they were kind of surprised as to what he was doing. He ran a few minutes in the direction they would have continued until they reached a semi-open clearing in the woods. Nodding, Yamato gave a small smile This is good enough. He made the hand seal for Serpent and said in a low tone "Mokuton: Shichūka no Jutsu!" A few seconds passed after much crackling and earth-splitting sounds after he initiated the jutsu before a small, house-like figure engraved with a Konoha Leaf above the door was formed.
Gesturing to his comrades, he said "We can sleep here. Better than sleeping outside. It feels like its going to rain..." They each appeared to be staring at the house before them, as though they still couldnt believe that it had come from the ground. They thanked him in hushed voices and piled inside. He, however, stayed to stare at the appearing stars...
