SECRETS
- Despite his calm, professional manner of dealing with most situations, Steven has a terrible temper. Thankfully, though, he manages to keep it well-controlled.
- Beneath the suit and ascot, he keeps himself in excellent physical condition and is actually quite strong.
- He honestly has more interest in searching for rare stones and mineral deposits throughout the regions than running Devon Corp. However, he knows he will have to step up to the plate sooner or later because his dad won't last forever.
- REALLY needs a secretary to help answer his mountains of fanmail considering they sit on his desk for months at a time.
- Has never been on a date before.
- Has a large burn scar on his chest that he got on a camping trip years ago. The scar is just as bad now as it was then. Let's just say Camerupt aren't his favorite pokemon.
HISTORY
Unfortunately, though, he was unable to always be by his son's side to watch him grow up. A Nanny, not that much older than Steven, was integrated as the closest thing to a mother figure in Steven's life. She taught him how to cook and dress himself properly and how it was expected for the young heir of a massive corporation to. Until he was thirteen, Steven attended the local school (alongside Pokemon Trainer's school) for his basic education. It was after this, until the age of seventeen, that he was taught by a private tutor that homeschooled him, focusing more on aspects of business and finance than he would have gotten in the public school. With the education he received, he was being groomed to become the President of Devon one day, as it was expected of him.
However, instead of beginning to work for the Corporation immediately as expected, Steven had other ideas.
In his spare time as a child, he had taken to collecting and training Steel-type pokemon. He wanted to go off on his own and pave his way in the world on an alternate route from jumping right into the business heir realm of things. Although his father didn't entirely like this decision, he supported his son's choice nonetheless. Until he was twenty-seven, he trained his pokemon and fought ferociously in battles. He hated losing, and each time he did he doubled his training efforts to make sure he would not lose again. Over the course of those ten years he traveled the Hoenn region extensively, collecting the eight Gym Badges required to take on the Elite Four. Although he spent plenty of time exploring cave systems of the regions, and other 'mysterious' places of the region.
With Metagross as the cornerstone of his team, he challenged Hoenn's Elite Four with confidence that few matched. He dominated the challenge, proving that his ceaseless training paid off. He was deemed a Master of Steel-type pokemon and crowned the new Champion of the Hoenn Region. He held this seat for a number of years until his good friend, Wallace*, managed to defeat him. Passing on the champion's cape and title to Wallace, he only partially stepped down from the position. This was during the time Team Magma and Team Aqua stirred things (read: the weather) up in the Hoenn region by messing with Kyogre and Groudon. Along with Ruby, Sapphire, and Wallace, Steven helped to put an end to what would have been an environmental calamity.
He sometimes remains in the Champion’s room to battle whomever comes that way, but now that he’s “retired”, Steven is quite likely to be found roaming different regions poking around in caves or learning something about the lore or culture of the region.
He currently has villas (given to him from his father) in the Resort Area of Sinnoh and Undella Town of Unova. His house is in Mossdeep City, Hoenn. For business, he has apartments in Rustboro (Hoenn), Goldenrod (Johto) and Saffron (Kanto). He's looking to buy apartments in Celadon and Pewter City in Kanto as well. The apartments in Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto are all Devon-sponsored. Celadon and Pewter's would be self-owned.
He also sucks at answering his cell phone so good luck getting in touch with him if you lost him.
