Meteor Falls

Immediately after Guns and Roses
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]The feeling of shock at the confirmation of the coordinators, or at least coordinator, of the attack sat heavily in her stomach as she and Ruby flew rapidly through the Hoenn air, over the rocky mountaintops of tunnels and over green expanses of trees and open land. Rustboro City was now directly at Flygon’s tail while Alyssa and Ruby were directed for Meteor Falls with Route 115 right below them. Alyssa couldn’t believe that her parents…or at least her mother…had truly led an attack on Verdanturf Town in a time of peaceable rebuilding because Alyssa had been there. They had been serious…they would try to kill her if she came within ten feet of the Verdanturf border, much less running a reconstruction attempt within it.
The echoed warning from two years ago rang in her mind as though she’d only just been told it, and Alyssa felt her body tense up, despite the slightly sluggish feeling overcoming her due to the blood coming from the shots on the side of her shoulder. It wasn’t massive, but it was enough to make her feel weaker, particularly since her heart had been pumping rapidly – pushing more blood through her veins. Alyssa felt their descent and she tightened the arm around Ruby’s waist out of habit. Normally, she had her arm wrapped around Flygon’s neck. Needless to say this change of position was different for her.
Once they were low enough, Flygon ducked into the cavernous, open space. Flying at a medium level through the Falls, he arced over two waterfalls within it, bringing his trainer and the other person upon his back far from the entrance, somewhere they would be safe. After circling around once or twice, the dragon looked for an appropriate place to land before deciding on the flat ground directly beneath him.
He landed gently, his feet touching the ground before he crouched, stilling his wings and putting his clawed forearms on the cavern floor. Alyssa dismounted almost immediately, wincing as her arm swung, aggravating the injury. She held her free hand out to Ruby, offering it to him as extra balance if he so chose.
”We should be safe here.” she murmured, her voice tight from the breath she didn’t realize she was holding. ”For at least a couple of hours.”
