Battle of Snowpoint City Round 1
Alyssa stood, still as could be. Her lack of motion was partially because of how cold she was, and partially because she was currently standing guard. Clothed in black snow pants, black boots, and a black parka, she blended in with the shadows of the trees. Black fur lined her hood, and she had a black scarf pulled up to the bridge of her nose, and red-tinted ski goggles covering her eyes. No part of her face was visible so that she would remain unable to be identified by Lux troops that had begun assaulting Snowpoint. She'd slipped out from the main part of the city through the trees and made her way to the entrance where she stood now, between the trees and the crane fairly close to her.
The water lapped angrily with the blistering wind and blizzard pouring down on her like a ceaseless torrent. Thanks to her goggles, she was able to see relatively clearly, and the shadows of the trees provided her with the cover she needed. Lux members – probably grunts given their behavior - marched by her without notice. The first wave of people were always grunts, unless more experienced members had alreay infiltrated the city which was a high possibility. As soon as the first warning shots were fired to Snowpoint, Alyssa had left.
Nox had lost too many battles recently, and she refused to lose this one. Especially while I’m here to do something about it and defend Snowpoint! she thought with determination, narrowing her eyes and clenching her jaw as she thought of the humiliating defeat of Sootopolis. If only she’d been there to do something about it, rather than aboard a Lux ship as Platinum’s hostage so goods could get from Cianwood to Olivine. I can’t think like that...Olivine needed those goods... she told herself, though the defeat was still a bitter wound in her mind. Something on her home territory.
We will have Sootopolis back...but for now I need to focus on this battle.
Deciding to reveal her location now to whomever might be in the next wave of fighters, she pulled a pokeball off of the leather straps across her chest, for she had moved her pokeballs there for ease of access rather than her belt beneath the layers of a parka. Her mittened gloves grasping one in particular, she tossed it into the air, just outside of the treeline where she stood. As it fell back to her, the red burst of energy became her loyal Blaziken, who stood strong in the blizzard. Lucky she’s a fire-type. She’ll be able to endure these conditions quite well.
Without waiting for the command from her trainer, Blaziken started warming herself up, jumping back and forth, side to side. Her movements suddenly quickened, and she vanished before re-appearing a few paces off numerous times. Using Agility until battle erupted, her opponent would be surprise by more than just her elegance.
Walking forward from the shadows to stand near her Blaziken, Alyssa waited with a set - though hidden - for whomever was daring enough to challenge her.

The night seemed no where near night at all as the blizzard had caused everything to go white. The footprints left behind by Black were almost immediately filled with fresh snow, due to it coming down so fast. He trudged onward prepared to make it into Snowpoint City to help with this battle. His only piece of equipment that was a major factor of him not being lost in the blizzard forever were the heat-sensitive goggles around his face. Black guessed if he just kept following the bright blur that Snowpoint City appeared as he would soon make it there. That was when up ahead the trainer from Unova noticed something much closer. It was something very bright next to something that had the same yellow-orange color of a human. This must have been a trainer and it's Pokemon. Black tried to rack his mind through what Pokemon could be that hot, especially in this kind of heat and guessed it was a fire type. He knew that he could send out Hydran, his Carracosta to battle a fire type, but in this weather his precious fossil-Pokemon would freeze and any water moves it tried to use would turn straight into ice. Instead Black decided he might as well fight fight fire with fire. Out came his trusty side-kick, Rally. The Emboar lumbered on alongside his trainer as they marched towards this person in the distance. Black wanted to surprise them, though. Thinking of the attacks Rally knew he decided on flare blitz. It would be a sudden burst of flames straight at the opposing team and they wouldn't suspect a thing until the noticed a large round ball of flames rolling towards them. "Rally, use flare blitz," Black commanded hoping that the other trainer would not notice the flash of red until it was too late. The Emboar immediately followed orders and went charging straight for Alyssa's Blaziken. He had no clue what Pokemon his target was, but he did know it was straight ahead and had better be prepared to die. Black watched with proud eyes as Rally went rolling off into the white out all for him. It made him happy to see a Pokemon obey so well and be so willing to fight for a cause like his Emboar was. He stopped where he was knowing that if this was going to be a proper fight the two trainers would need their space. Almost completely on accident Black stumbled across a snow-drift. He decided this would be the best location to set up his "base" for the fight as it gave him protection from any attacks aimed more towards him rather than his Pokemon. Laying out his supplies and setting down his bike, which was of no use in the snow Black brought his old-fashioned bow up to his chest. This was his weapon of choice, well besides Pokemon and he was most definitely going to use it in this battle. Pulling an arrow out of his quiver he strung it into the bow prepared to fire it at Alyssa if necessary.

Everything seemed relatively quiet, and thanks to the white-out before her it seemed like the entrance to Snowpoint was relatively empty. Leaning against the picket fence encircling the area where the crane stood, Alyssa looked out towards the direction Lux members were most likely to come from. Blaziken was still moving, flashing from place to place within a six-foot area to her right, left, and in front of, and behind, her with the Agility she was warming up with. The loyal Blaze pokemon by her side would show no fear, and would remain warm throught this entire battle thanks to the flame burning brightly within her body. You’ll do well, Blaziken...I know you will... Alyssa thought proudly, turning her masked face away from the tall pokemon to look out into the blizzard.
So far everything seemed calm. Too calm... Alyssa thought, growing wary. The longer silence persisted, the edgier Hoenn’s leader would become. ”Be ready, Blaziken...” Alyssa murmured, only the slightest nod from her pokemon indicating that she had heard the command. It was then that she saw something. Despite the white-out, she saw color. Bright, red-orange...flames they had to be. There was nothing else that would take that color. Or that magnitude. The growing size of the apparent flames was something to cause a bit of alarm to flare up within Alyssa. What was that. Heat Wave? Blast Burn? Flare Blitz? Alyssa ran through some of the most powerful Fire-type attacks in her mind before she knew how she had to react.
”Blaziken, Mirror Move!”
As soon as the command was given, the ball of fire that had managed to light through the near-white out grew closer and larger. Blaziken gave a rumbling growl of obediance before the flames on her wrists burned brightly. She crouched once, her long legs bending and almost lowering the tufts of feathers coming from her small tail to the piled-up snow bank near the trees before she charged, crossing her blazing wrists as she ran out to meet the ball of fire, her massive stride covering the distance in no time.
Two steps.
A path of melted snow had appeared abruptly from the fire-type attack, clearing out a five-foot-wide area in a straight line in which the opponent charged. A sparkling orb formed before Blaziken’s body, energy practically radiating from the appearance.
One step.
Alyssa jumped over the picket fence, happy for the cover. If there was a pokemon attacking, there was bound to be a Lux member in charge of it. Unable to see past the fire Blaziken was charging out to meet, it would be best to take some cover in case they had a ranged weapon. The orb formed into a mirror.
Collision.
Alyssa saw Blaziken take the hit, but her pokemon’s momentum held strong. Flare Blitz created a wall of fire around the opponent, so there was still space between her pokemon and the opponent. But only for a short amount of time. Taking the hit, Blaziken grimaced slightly. It was a fire-type attack, though, and it did little to harm Blaziken any significant amount. The energy received in the mirror, though, transferred to Blazikens body, lighting her up in a temporary Flare Blitz as she rushed right to the Emboar, aiming to deliver the pokemon’s own move against it at equal power.
Fighting Fire with Fire. They know what they’re doing. I guess Weavile will need to stay hidden for now...
Her Weavile, glad to be back in his home and well-adapted to the climate, was hidden among the trees. Alyssa had received word that Lux were using thermo-sensitive goggles to track their opponents, which would prove troublesome...for a human. Luckily, the internal temperature of pokemon were lower than that of humans (with the exception of Fire-type pokemon of course), so Weavile would blend in with the cold trees. All Alyssa would need to do is raise her arm. However, with a fire-type on the field, and a powerful enoguh one at that, she wasn’t sure she wanted to.

The blizzard was making things hard to see even when Black was wearing the heat-vision goggles as the snow just made everything look blue. He hoped Rally knew how to fend for himself without commands as all he could tell was that his Pokemon and the other trainer's Pokemon were both sending out fire moves. The trainer from Unova had yet to realize that the Blaziken had used Mirror Coat, but he did know that his Emboar was able to survive just about anything thrown at him, especially other fire type attacks. It wouldn't be of any use, though to leave his Emboar out there without being commanded. So Black let out a two toned whistle which was basically signalling his Emboar to come back to him. Rally did using a flare blitz as he wasn't that fast just running, but flare blitz gave him a jolt of speed. He stood next to Black who gave a pat on the back. Going through his team he decided that the only other Pokemon that could survive this weather was Gesini, his Reuniclus. Therefore he let out the psychic type to go do some damage. "Go use psychic on the Pokemon," Black commanded pointing with his bow in the direction for Gesini to go. His Reuniclus followed orders as Black surveyed if Rally had obtained any major wounds, but he had not. Just some minor char looking marks from what obviously must have been another fire type attack from the opponent. Gesini zoomed through the air in her floating form and once she approached on the trainer and Pokemon she began using Psychic to try and control what looked to be a Blaziken's movement. She was going to immobilize it and then throw it straight up into the blizzard as long as the pesky trainer didn't try and interfere. Black readied his bow knowing that even if his arrow somehow hit Gesini it would just sail through her gelatin like parts. He strung a steel arrow into the bow and aimed using the heat-vision goggles. What he aimed for was not the Pokemon, but instead the less bright of a blob, trainer. Black wanted to help his Reuniclus by keeping the trainer out of the way so Gesini could do her thing. That was when the arrow went sailing off through the blizzard going straight towards Alyssa. He was determined to win this battle for Lux, not only so they could take control of Snowpoint City, but also so he could impress Shamees. Black wanted to be promoted from Sentinel to Champion rank even if he was not the Champion of Unova. Alder seemed to have nothing to do with the war and so no one was there for Lux to help keep things under control in Unova besides him and White. Therefore they needed some order and Black could easily bring that to the cities of Unova controlled by Lux and even the ones still up for grabs. This was his world, after all.

Blaziken collided with the strange pokemon, her Flare Blitz meeting his in a burst of fire. Using the same attack against him would normally not have done anything, but thanks to her Mirror Move it reflected the same power back from where the attack had come. This way, she was able to hit the other pokemon despite the move he was currently using. Their bodies collided, and the flames lapping around them exploded outwards with the force of the collision, lighting up their battlefield and melting snow all around them in a twelve-foot diameter. It almost looked as though somebody had taken the time to clear out a perfect circle in the snow, just for the battle to take place.
At the sound of a whistle, though, the opponent’s pokemon broke free and returned to his side, leaving Blaziken to stand in the snow. Her long legs had buckled out of surprise thanks to the loss of something to force her momentum against. Alyssa blinked in surprise, shifting her position behind the picket fence as she narrowed her eyes to see the battlefield better. She was about fifteen feet from where the battle was taking place, now, and she couldn’t exactly see well. The fire still burning around her pokemon’s body – despite the fact it was flickering out of existance slowly but surely – provided her with some light to see, but she barely saw the other pokemon approaching hers when the fire-type returned to its trainer.
...this trainer is from Unova. Alyssa reasoned, given that there had been not one, but two pokemon sent out into battle that she didn’t hardly recognize. In her sweep through Unova, she’d only seen pokemon, but not comitted their species to heart seeing as she didn’t have intentions to spend much time in Unova to begin with other than collecting the badges. It was a gelatinous-bodied creature, and Alyssa was trying to recall what type it was.
Grass? Water? Psy –
Her thoughts were cut off by a frustrated cry from Blaziken at the pokemon that had approached. Alyssa knew that pitch, and what it meant. For tag-team battles, she would often pair up Blaziken and Weavile for one reason – in case the opponent was a Psychic-type, something Blaziken was weak against. Alyssa had trained her Blaze pokemon to be sure to let both her and Weavile know that something was wrong when she felt the presence of a Psychic in her mind.
Alyssa was familiar with the feeling herself, but now her pokemon needed help. Blaziken and lowered herself, bending her knees as she struggled to keep control of her mind. It hurt to do so, too, and she could feel her energy being used to defend herself from such an attack, but it was the least she could do before being completely overtaken by it. Blaziken began panting – not out of pain – from exhaustion. Blocking ones mind from a Psychic pokemon was a challenging task.
Alyssa shot her arm into the air, signalling to Weavile, hiding in the trees, to go help. She didn’t see her pokemon move, but she knew he would, if he hadn’t been already at Blaziken’s cry. She’d instructed him to use a specific technique as well.
Suddenly, a sharp pain ripped past Alyssa’s arm, across the outside of her forearm, almost right in the middle. What the hell?! she hadn’t heard any sort of gunfire. What was that? It wasn’t a pokemon, was it? Alyssa pulled her arm to look at it. The parka had a thin, straight tear in it and an object sticking out of either side where it had become stuck. An arrow? She had to give her opponent credit for being brave enough to be an archer in conditions like this. She gave an experimental tug on the arrow and determined that it was not embedded in her skin, and pulled out easily.
I should get that checked... she made a note, while Weavile moved on the battlefield. Cutting his way quickly through the snow, he moved through it easily as he had when he was younger as a Sneasel. This had been his home for many years before he joined Alyssa’s party, and he had retained his bred instincts of how to survive and maneuver in this climate, even when the snow was as tall as him. It stood no chance against his claws, which took on a red-violet glow as he powered up for a Night Slash. If Blaziken had indicated correctly, and the pokemon assaulting her was a Psychic type, it would be an easy target for him. Bursting through the snow to the cleared area that had been opened from the fire-type attacks, Weavile flew across the open ground, his claws outstretched as he bounded forward to the strange green pokemon, aiming to deal a close-range strike.

With Rally now back at his side Black decided it was time to approach closer towards the battle scene. Being on the offensive side it was hard for him to call out commands and stay in control of the battle at the far distance. He began to slowly sneak up on the area that Alyssa's Blaziken and Gesini were as he didn't want to be noticed. Rally was walking in front of Black to protect him from any onslaught from the other trainer if they happened to have a weapon and heat-vision goggles. That would mean they could easily aim at him and so with his large Emboar standing in front of him he was able to stay defended from being attacked himself. Through his heat-vision goggles he could tell that the barely warmer than the snow figure of his Reuniclus was now fighting the Blaziken, trying to use psychic to control the other Pokemon's mind. Blackl hoped it was working as he neared he could also get a closer visual of the person he was fighting. From the looks of things it was a female that was currently crouched behind the picket fence that led into the city. If he were to get past her it would be easy to conquer the city since Alyssa seemed to be the only guard at the entrance. The rest of Nox's dumb soldiers must have been out on the terrain trying to stop Lux soldiers out their. There was probably reinforcements in the city, but Black could easily sneak in and blow up something in this weather. His arrow had hit! Black didn't have his pack or bike, two things that worried him as they would probably be forever lost until the snow melted or calmed down because he could barely see in front of him and his stuff didn't have any warmth so he could locate them. The trainer from Unova, Alyssa was correct decided to fire another area. This time it was aimed at Alyssa's Weavile which Black knew was bad news for Gesini being a psychic with the other Pokemon being a dark type. Dark types were super-effective against psychics after all. Therefore when he saw the Weavile come into the battle Black immediately fired arrows at it. He was too late, though. The Weavile got to Gesini before his arros could get to it. The Reuniclus immediately fainted and even though Black didn't want to reveal his location he called Gesini back to her Pokeball. The red flash immediately proved that Black was now all of about ten feet from the circle of melted snow that was slowly, but surely being recovered with sno as the harsh blizzard kept on coming. He was thankfully still in the protection of Rally who was sent into battle next to fight off the Weavile, which was also part ice type making it weak to fire type attacks, too. Black decided if the opponent was battling with two Pokemon he might as well battle with two also. In to the battle came Swyx, his Swanna. She was able to withstand the cold from being caught around Mistralton where the seasons had very dramatic changes. He also knew she could use water attacks to kill of Alyssa's Blaziken. The one con was Black didn't know if the attacks would work or not as it was freezing cold outside and they might freeze before they hit, but he had to try anyway. You never wanted to leave a fight thinking what if because that meant you did something wrong. With that he went into commander mood and started calling out attacks. "Rally, use flare blitz at the Weavile, Swyx use bubblebeam at the Blaziken," Black called out still being concealed by the blizzard, but close enough that he was able to see what was going on in the battle along with being able to tell his Pokemn what to do. He watched as Swyx flew up into the air where her white feathers made her almost invisible. She then began firing off a bubblebeam aimed at the Blaziken. The attack only worked somewhat as the smaller bubble immediately froze and the bigger ones were not shooting as strongly as the should be towards Alyssa's Pokemon. Everything seemed so cold when Black was far away from the battle, but now that he was close up the intensity was strong. Rally heated up into his flame blitz and boy was it hot, sadly it also gave away his position, though. He quickly jumped back into a darker area where his Emboar hadn't just melted the snow to help conceal him. Now it would be hard, though as the other trainer would know he was nearby and that mean that she would be searching for him. Probably ready to shoot him with a gun or have her Pokemon attack him at any given moment. Black decided staying where he was, didn't seem to be a good idea. It would make him an easy target as the opponent would suspect for him to be near the area he had already been located in. As sneaky as he could possibly be he started walking around the battle at a good twenty to thirty foot radius. You could barely see him from the scene of the battle and it would be almost impossible without heat-vision goggles to see him from the other side. Not knowing if this would be a good choice or not Black began going towards Alyssa. He would use the snow to conceal his white parka and ski pants and then jump up out of nowhere and attack her. It wasn't a good fight without some hand to hand contact and who would expect a trainer to come at them in a snow storm when there Pokemon were battling a good distance away? Black snuck up from the side slowly encroaching on Alyssa. He used the picket fence as a barrier to go unnoticed, with him on one side and her on the other. As he got closer Black planned his strategy, to pin Alyssa down. The time was right and he sprang over the picket fence straight for Alyssa. He had thrown down his bow and arrows on his side of the fence and was now flying over it aiming to attack her and pin her down.

Alyssa’s arm throbbed but she paid no mind to it, her eyes locked on the almost invisible figures feet from her. If only she could somehow block out the snow from her field of vision, things would be immensely easier. The only thing she was able to see was a darkenend shadow that she assumed was Weavile, alongside a reddish one that she counted as Blaziken. The light from the Flare-Blitz’d-Mirror-Move had faded, and the green pokemon she’d seen earlier had faded with the lack of heated source in the fray. She just hoped Weavile had moved in time. He was a fast pokemon, and he was more than happy to be in this environment once again, more likely than not practically bouncing up and down waiting for his trainer to give him the order to move. I’m glad he can be happy at a time like this... it was true. His blood had been boiling for a fight, and being out here made it even better. More likely than not, he was on the top of his game, having recovered from inhaling such smoke he did back at Village Bridge.
Blaziken’s cry cut off abruptly and Alyssa smirked a bit behind her mask, shaking her head a little as the wind whipped the hair sticking out from the sides of her hood in her face. Good, Weavile... she thought. Weavile had gotten there in time, and given Blaziken’s reaction the pokemon had been struck by Weavile’s Night Slash. Blaziken stood now, shaking herself and regaining her breath from fighting off the other pokemon’s mental assault. She had almost lost control. Her health had decreased, but she could still fight on alongside Weavile, who stood beside her, his tiny form nothing compared to her long legs. She quickly lowered her fist, and he tapped it with his claws. They were partners, and although Alyssa had explained to them that she would not give them many verbal commands, she’d trained them to work together and take on the enemy intelligently.
The red flash of energy (twice) indicated the general position of her opponent, and she narrowed her eyes. He was hiding from her primary line of sight and she didn’t blame him. However, she hoped they’d keep their distance. They’d already proven that they were armed – albeit with arrows, of all things – but she was not unarmed as she had been in the past two Battles on the front lines she’d participated in. After her dealings with the Baskerville Brothers, she now carried a revolver. It was tucked away between her lower leg and snow boot, but she wanted to avoid using it if at all possible, it was mostly for self-defense anyway.
His second released pokemon was invisible to Alyssa from her position, and she closed her eyes. The Veteran Trainer sighed, placing her faith in her pokemon for the outcome of this battle. They were smart, and they were well-trained...particularly to work together. They know what to do... She opened her eyes slightly and looked through the red-orange of the ski goggles towards a flare-up of fire that appeared. It’s using Flare Blitz again? the light radiating from it showed her pokemon better. They had moved. Weavile leapt up into the air and appeared to land on Blazikens hands, which appeared to be cupped in front of her before she thrust him upward into the air. The other pokemon must have been there. Blaziken leapt backwards at the same time, and all Alyssa could make out were Weavile’s arms flailing.
As he soared through the air, his claws glowing blue, he sliced through some of the bubbles (or ice bubbles) taking some to the chest as he let the momentum from Blaziken’s tag-team work carry him through the air. Seconds away now from the unfamiliar bird, he stretched out one clawed paw to aim an Ice Punch at the bird. The bubbles and ice bubbles struck his chest and he winced slightly, but it was nothing he couldn’t handle. If this wound up helping protect Blaziken and she on the other hand protected him, he was happy. They would make Alyssa happy. That was all that mattered.
On the ground, Blaziken turned to face the Fire pokemon that was lumbering towards the field of battle. They had moved at the sight of fire first igniting and Weavile pointing to the sky, telling her to move. Now, she crossed her arms and glared over her crossed wrists until steam began to rise from them. Swinging them down to her sides, fire blazed from her wrists, and she let out a challenging cry to the fire-type pokemon that was coming at her, seeing as she was where Weavile – which was the assumed original target – had been only moments ago.
Her wrists blazed with powerful fire and glowed blue. Striding forward, she used her long legs to cover the ground between herself and the bulky pokemon. She would meet his second Flare Blitz with a dual-fisted Sky Uppercut. The fire from the Flare Blitz would hurt her, but it would only make her wrists burn more powerfully, and she would feel even more encouraged to give her all in this fight.
Alyssa watched as her pokemon moved. Teamwork...I love you two...so much... she thought, smiling. However, she remained still. She felt as though she was being watched and it was a fairly disturbing feeling. She’d become well-acquainted with it as of late, and the only thing she wished for was the ability to sense people outside of the unpleasent feeling of being watched. Clenching her fist, she heard the groaning of the picket fence and she swung around counter-clockwise to face the source of the sound, bringing her right fist up with aim to smash whomever it was in the face. If it was a physical fight they wanted, it was a physical fight they would get.

The temperature was still dropping and the blizzard was only getting worse as the battle raged on. All around you could see many flashes of lights from other battles, but they were only that. Flashes. You couldn’t tell how far away they were or who was winning because the snow was so thick. Black only knew that the flashes that were the brightest were coming from his Pokemon battling Alyssa’s as she had just been right next to that. This had enabled him to know about how far he was from the battle in case he needed to go help. It was easy to tell as the area was slowly growing darker the further he walked away. It was about time to begin his quest for power and time for him to win this battle. He could make a name for himself and maybe even get a good word told to Shamees. That would help him become Lux vice president which was one of his many goals in life. This was Black’s time and he would be renowned throughout the entire Pokemon world for beating Alyssa if he pulled this one off. It was his moment to shine and he was going to seize it. He prepared himself to fight Alyssa by emptying his mind. It wasn’t that hard in his opinion as he outweighed and outsized her, but most importantly she was a girl. And boys always won. Yes, he was being sexist, but it was the truth. Black crept through the snow in a stealth-like manor, quite similar to a lion leopard stalking it’s prey. Swyx tried her hardest to keep the bubbles warm enough that they wouldn’t freeze and then be ineffective against the fire type. To do this she had to move around a lot, there was many up and down movements that were at least keeping around seventy-five percent of the bubbles still in their water form. She let out a loud caw when the Weavile jumped up at her and used ice punch. This was a signal for Rally, who was currently rolling on the ground towards the Blaziken to make a leap into the air. He went straight up at Alyssa’s Weavile to help protect Swyx, who by the noises she was making was in distress. Black watched from afar as he went in to attack Alyssa in a hand on hand combat style. He saw Rally make their good improvising skills to help out Swyx. The two were a very well rounded team, as they were basically they exact opposite of each other. A balanced team would effectively as it was proving to be helping him win this battle. Black had leaped at Alyssa and now began punching at her face. His heat-vision goggles were able to help him understand what position her body was in so that he could hit her in all the harsh spots. He was hit in the gut, but being the one coming down on her it didn’t hurt too bad as he was wearing very thick layers of clothing.

The battle was raging in a way that Alyssa had only read. You could see almost nothing, thanks to the complete whiteout around her. The only thing she would have been able to see were flashes of color as their pokemon raged on, fighting valiantly for their trainers. The wars she’d read about in stories were in the black of night, though, with explosions ripping through the air as light and sounds. This was not all that different. But now not only was she experiencing the battle from the distance, she was experiencing it with her own hands.
Her initial punch missed its target - his face - when she pounced, and his own punch clipped her in the jaw. She turned slightly with it to lessen the impact of the blow, but she did not turn all the way. That would only hinder her. He practically landed atop her, and his greater size compared to her slammed her back into the ground, winding her slightly. The first thing she thought to do was guard herself with her arms and legs the best she could. However, due to their position, with him pinning her down on her back, she couldn’t move her legs very well aside from straight up, or pulling her knee back towards her chest. She didn’t move much aside from raising her guard as she thought rapidly.
Back on the battlefield, Blaziken halted abruptly when her target leapt into the air at the sound of the distressed cry. She let the power she’d focused in her fists fade, and she stood watching for a few moments, panting. The energy it had taken to resist having her mind taken over by the Psychic-type pokemon was greater than she’d initially felt, and it left her aching because of it. She would probably be able to muster just one more move before she’d retreat to Alyssa in return for another pokemon.
Weavile was hit by the momentum of her opponent that had leapt into the air. He was like a tiny fireball as he was knocked out of the sky and into a snowbank that promptly steamed upon being collided into with his small, flaming body. Weavile laid there in the deep snow, burned but not entirely fainted. That fire-type attack had hurt a whole lot. Trying to attack again while that fire-type was out there would be useless. He would need to make his way back to Alyssa if possible so she could send out another one of his teammates. He growled slightly, quietly, and remained perfectly still to give the appearance that he’d fainted. He could feel his energy ebbing. Although it had not been a hit like he’d taken at Village Bridge, it still took a toll on him. He was fading slowly, but he would be able to make it back to Alyssa before fainting if he moved soon.
That was when a massive wave of heat hit him from the above, as though the sky itself had been lit on fire.
Blaziken had made a split-second decision as soon as she saw her opponent leap into the air to attack Weavile in order to protect his teammates. She had inhaled the cold, winter air deep within her lungs, letting the fire on her wrists blaze brightly as she felt herself power up for the next technique, opening her mouth as she leapt into the air as well, beside both of the other pokemon. Out of her mouth roared a massive pillar of fire, both wide and tall as it raged through the sky for her enemies, aiming to get her revenge for Weavile in a massive display of Blast Burn. This would be her last attack before retreating back to Alyssa.
Alyssa felt a wave of heat come from the direction of their battle, and she could only assume the fire-type pokemon had made a powerful move. She had been thinking for a few moments, though in a fist fight it seemed like an eternity. He was wearing layers upon layers of clothes on his torso, no doubt to keep his bodily functions moving as normally as possible. With any luck, his face and lower body were not as guarded. Unlocking her arms from their defensive position, she poised one for defense, her hand clenched and ready to catch a punch if needed, while the other ripped upwards, aiming to snap his head backwards by thrusting the heel of her palm into his chin. Meanwhile, she made a last-second decision to add to her physical assault to protect herself. She snapped her right leg up and back, at the perfect level for his knee to meet his crotch in what would hopefully be a most painful manner.
Normally, she was not one for low blows such as this, but, she could make an exception.

This was his finally stand and Black knew it. The battle was wrapping up as it was getting quite cold and their current Pokemon were all running out of steam. He gave his all in this hand on hand and foot on foot fight as he continued to hammer his fists at Alyssa. Black couldn't really see the battle going on anymore as the picket fence was blocking his view of sight. They were down on the ground now groppling very vigorously. The trainer from Unova only knew that he could really feel the heat and intensity blazing from their Pokemon fighting about twenty yards away. The battle now not only had one location for fighting, but two. The pokemon were fighting in one area, while Alyssa and Black battled out a ways away. Rally, Black's Emboar gave out a loud hoot when he hit the Weavile to protect Swanna. It had worked and now his self esteem was burning on all levels as he landed on the ground, his body still on fire. The Swanna meanwhile gave a sigh of relief as she was saved from a major slaughtering from the Weavile. Swyx was in for the fight and began brewing a hurricane, not that it did much as the small amount of pain she had received from Alyssa's Weavile was limiting the movement of her right wing causing the hurricane attack just to make the blizzard seem a little bit windier. At that very moment Alyssa's Blaziken fired up it's last stand blast burn. Rally decided that this would be his last stand, too. He ignited one last flare blitz as his strong muscles were starting to cramp and he wouldn't be able to hold out these strong physical attacks much longer. With a small amount of energy and a whole lot of guts the Emboar charged at the Blaziken causing a large spark and then a stand off. It was equally matched, the two going at each other strong and with all their might. Swyx had decided to let the two do their on thing and backed off flying to the ground to see who won this fire filled war. She could feel the heat intensifying the longer it went on and began to use bubblebeam around her body to keep the fire away. Black could slowly feel the heat intensifying and the light increasing, from what he was unaware. He continue his fist fight with Alyssa as she hit him square in the jaw. This made him livid and he immediately swung back down hard aiming a smack for her eye. There was no way he would stand losing to a girl who was about half his size. Black did cringe, though when she got him pretty close to the crotch, thankfully the position he was in compared to Alyssa helped save him from in damaging ball crushing. There was a loud explosion out of nowhere from behind them that Black assumed came from their Pokemon. It had all of a sudden increased like twenty degrees in temperature as he slightly turned his head to see a bright flash of light. Rally and Alyssa's Blaziken had come to an equal ending which ended in the two seperating in an epic explosion causing flames to go everywhere. Swyx had taken too much and fainted from the heat in the battle even if she was part water type, it had gotten to be too much. Rally huffed and puffed as he knelt on the ground away from where he had just been. That was intense and he was heavily wounded from the heat of their match up. It had come to a stand still, too which pissed the Emboar off as he wanted bragging rights. The heat finally reached Black and Alyssa, which consecutively made Black push away knowing it was time to finish this battle. Their Pokemon were probably half dead and he knew that he needed to try and get further into the city now to cause even further destruction. Sadly Rally probably wouldn't have anything left in him to blow up buildings within the city. That would be left to his other Pokemon if he could make it there in this horrid weather they were experiencing. Out of nowhere it stopped snowing, which Black only accounted for their Pokemon burning a whole in the Ozone Layer or something which, wouldn't surprise him as that last attack had him on the edge and he wasn't even that close to the battle.

Black won the battle. Using his greater size, he physically beat the crap out of Alyssa, forcing her to retreat after freezing up because of her own blood stemming from her nose and mouth. Pokemon-wise, she won; fist-fight-wise, she lost.
