Rescuing Blue Lance, Gold, Blue, Xander
he called to a guard. "Can't even let me out to go to the bathroom?" Surely there had to be some humanitarian rights that he still deserved. But this was war, and war blurred the lines between humane and inhumane. Things were different now. It was a time in which things had to be earned and could not simply be given just because one was born as a human as opposed to a Pokémon. Hell, Blue wished that he was a Pokémon. He could have Flamethrower'd his way out or Explosion'd the area to bust the walls. Then he'd Dig his way back to the surface of the earth. Alas, he was cursed as a human. "This isn't right. You can't even give me a bowl to piss in?" He waited for one of the many guards to turn around and rail at him. Even Blue got bored at times. What else was there to do underground? He could at least humor himself at pestering these guards that had been hand-picked by Xander. He knew he was bait. Alyssa would come soon enough. It wasn't like they could actually kill him. No one was going to break through enemy territory to retrieve a corpse. And if physical pain was the price for distracting these guards, so be it.
Alyssa’s arrival in Viridian City had proved largely uneventful, despite the fact it was suicide for her to be here right now, the other Nox members with her shared equal danger given their situation. One by one, they’d managed to make their quiet entrance into the Lux powerhouse of a city. It had been tricky work, not to mention incredibly dangerous, but the people that had entered were either determined enough to perfect an undetected entrance, or skilled in what they did. Save for three people, herself included, the rest of the Nox in Viridian were spies who specialized in espionage. Their goal for this evening was simple – rescue Kanto’s Regional Leader for Nox, the regions very own Blue Oak – from the clutches of Lux into which he’d fallen in some way, shape, or form. Good job, Blue... she thought, for probably the umpteenth time since she’d received word from the spies she’d stationed in the city of the young man’s capture.
She knew only who had captured him and when he’d been captured, but she wanted details. She would have to ask him after they saved him and he’d been given time to recover. With any luck, her equal rank to him would prove to be effective in learning of the capture’s specifics, no matter how dull the truth was. The white-haired Leader sighed when she turned her gaze away from the blinds covering the window that she’d parted briefly to watch outside. She and the other two people that consisted of the actual ‘Rescue’ team were fortunate enough to be in a safehouse at the moment, a contact of Alyssa’s that posed as a faithful Lux member.
Looking up, she met the eyes of the two people that she’d gotten in contact with that were willing to help with something as dangerous and suicidal-seeming as the evening’s events. Gold Harberlein and Dragon Master Lance Draken, Indigo’s Champion. Though she knew little of Gold’s abilities, save for what she'd observed previously of his character - courage, determination, energy, etc. She had to assume, though, that he was on a calibre close to that of hers and Lance’s if she was willing to take on such a mission. The Veteran Trainer looked at them quietly, her gaze unblinking and hard as though she were scrutinizing them, though she was truly only thinking.
The Leader looked at the ground for a moment, the black hair of her short wig almost falling into her eyes, though they were stopped by the oval glasses she wore (as opposed to the rectangular ones for Wolfgang's dress). When she’d first donned the black and red sweater-vest, it had been wrinkled and rather unpleasent to wear, although she soon got used to it. She scuffed the dark leather shoes against the wood floor before she raised a hand to adjust the ascot around her neck out of no more than her nerves. The only reason she wore the disguise to assume her false identity of a teenage boy was because of their location. More than one person – once learning of her intentions to rescue Blue – had told her that Lux didn’t need to have one Leaders under their arms, much less two. She’d relented to their words, but begrudgingly.
Looking up again, she inhaled slightly before speaking to the two before her. ”Well, we’re all here, now...we’ll be able to move shortly.” Her voice was hard and unwavering; unlike it normally was when she wasn’t concentrating on anything as seriously as she did now. Her cerulean gaze was the same, focused and blazing with a cold fire of seriousness. ”Thanks to the preparations I’ve made, we should be able to make quick work of rescuing Blue.” she wouldn’t explain in full the details of what she’d done, but she would give the two before her a basis. They deserved it, after all.
”My spies have informed me of the general area Blue is being held. A prison beneath ground, and I’ve been told the entrance is hidden somewhere in the Gym. Another trio should be infiltrating the Trainer’s School right about now – it’s where Lux has established their technology resource center. Cameras and controls over said cameras will fall under us fairly soon. Other spies more skilled at combat have been working on taking out defenses systematically to weaken them. Once the security has lessened around the Gym has been reduced enough for us to get in the back door, we’ll head out.”
She lowered a hand to her pocket. ”I’ll be able to pick the lock to let us in, and we should receive word that we can move fairly soon.” Raising a hand to her ear, she pressed down on the small transceiver within her ear so she would be able to hear the safe word that would inform her of safety to begin the mission with Gold and Lance, studying them in silence as she waited.

Despite the obvious danger and lethality of the mission he and two others had accepted and were currently on, he had found himself rather bored and restless. Shifting onto his side on the double-bed he was currently laying on, Lance’s red eyes fell upon the two companions that had accompanied him in this mission, Gold and Alyssa Akiyama. He had met Gold before and had actually caused quite a bit of trouble with the young man, though despite his prankster nature he was quite skilled enough to be a part of the rescue team. Alyssa on the other hand was an individual Lance knew quite well, though her usual delicate feminine appearance was somewhat lacking at the moment. Instead it had been replaced with a short wig, clean suit and neat pair of glasses to produce the teenage boy before him. He nearly choked in laughter when he saw her new appearance; he had barely recognized her at all, which was probably the point of her disguise.
Unfortunately and much to his own disapproval, Lance, himself had also been forced to go undergo an appearance change. It wasn’t in the league of Alyssa though that required a gender shift, but it was still more than enough to make sure nobody recognized the Indigo Champion. Gone was the prideful garb of the Dragon Master, his striking red hair and his prominent cape that held the authority of the Master of Dragons. Instead he now wore simple casual attire, consisting of a baggy cargo pants, a sleeveless hoody, sneakers and where his cape once resided, a muffler now hung loosely around his neck. To complete his rebel look was the introduction of fingerless gloves and two piercings in his ears. When forced to change his appearance he had no earthly idea he would soon look like some rock band reject. To make matters worse his natural hair colour was quickly altered and his once striking red hair was now jet black and was brushed out straight. How many years ago did he have to deal with hair bangs hanging in his face. It really was annoying.
Despite his annoyance with his disguise it had served its purpose and allowed him to infiltrate the city with none suspecting him as the Indigo Champion. Unfortunately the city guards had suspected him as someone else entirely. The moment they saw his black hair and red eyes they had immediately come to the silly conclusion that he was related to the Kanto Champion, Red, in some form or manner. There were even some saying he could be the champion’s secret older brother. He had wasted thirty minutes trying to explain he had no relations to Red and that it was just chance that he was born with red eyes as well, no matter how rare the phenomenon was. Just thinking about that caused a Lance to sigh.
When Alyssa spoke, he sat up and listened intently to her plan, giving a nod every now and then just to show that he was indeed listening, despite the occasional yawn that escaped him. ”So I guess we just have to wait for the signal before we go save our fearless and helpless leader. Seriously what was Blue thinking when he decided to go for a relaxing walk in the forest?” [/style] [style=font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase;]TAGS, Blue,Alyssa, Gold NOTES, no capeness = no Lance coolness CODED BY TSU DOLL OF LOVE STAMP.[/style] |
