Alyssa VS Steven
When in the course of our lives it becomes essential for us to break the barriers and disagreements between us that have kept us individuals, and to form a united force to stand for what we believe in, we are transformed into new people. Together, as trainers and pokemon, we take a stand against what we believe to be utterly and morally wrong.
We hold this belief to be instinctually understood - that we are all born with free will and a loose tongue to allow us to speak what we believe. We are born with minds and spirits that allow us to do as we please with our lives with minimal restrictions. Where has that world gone, though? This world has changed since Lux took control only a couple of years ago. It has changed from the world that we knew however many years ago when we first started our pokemon journeys – more than a decade ago for me. Comparing then and now is like staring at night and day side by side. This world has changed, and not for the better. It’s been forced to shift into the ideals of Lux – in short, the rights we are born with as human beings are being taken away from us.
It is as though they have sliced out or tongues and pulled our rights from our wills and very being.
If you will not stand for this, then what is it that you will stand for?
You will listen to me...listen! We look to each other for support, to members of Nox, to fight for what we believe in. When Lux looks at Nox as an obstacle in the way – will they see it as just that? An obstacle? Or will they see it as a threat? As a force that will be able to topple them for what this world used to be? They will see the strength of our minds and the ferocity of our will, and they will know what we can do!
You see me stand before you and tell you what Nox can do. You ask of me, what do I have to offer? What do I fight for? I will tell you....
I fight for our freedoms. For justice. For peace. I fight for these things because I believe it is right to do so. Some of us could argue that we want revenge upon Lux for what they’ve done to our lives and to us personally, but I seek no revenge, no blood. I fight for the freedom that has been supressed thanks to Lux’s tyrannical laws and the iron fist that they’ve ruled with. I fight for the rights that were taken away from us. Nox are called terrorists and unorganized rebels that care nothing for the lives of others. Though my past actions would jump to say I’m just that, I’m not. I offer you my prowess in battle. Sixteen years of my life have been dedicated to becoming a better pokemon trainer and battler. Even if I'm not on the front lines of the war, you can look to me for guidance if needed. I will answer. My feats in the Battle of Olivine and Village Bridge prove that I will not hesitate to do what is necessary - Olivine's Lighthouse was toppled and Village Bridge was severely damaged, sending a message to Lux that is clear as day.
The blood that has been, and will be shed for the sake of this war’s end is only the beginning. Some of my actions have brought death and destruction and I regret that they were necessary to achieve a desired result. I am no monster – despite the image Lux has given me. I am a Revolutionary – somebody who fights for change, what one might call a ‘Freedom Fighter’. Given the chance, I opt to find a more peaceful way to settle differences, though I am not naïve enough to think that this war can be solved peacefully. My intentions are one main thing – to make my voice heard. To make our voices heard – the voice that Lux has attempted to silence with their laws.
This voice is one that I will continue to scream with until our throats bleed, but further until it is finally heard once more!

IN CONSENSU, When in the course of our lives it becomes essential for us to break the barriers and disagreements between us that have kept us individuals, and to form a united force to stand for what we believe in, we are transformed into new people. Together, as trainers and pokemon, we stand against what we believe to be utterly and morally wrong.
We hold this belief to be instinctually understood – that we are all born with free will and a loose tongue to allow us to speak what we believe. We are born with minds and spirits that allow us to do as we please with our lives with minimal restrictions. Where has that world gone, though? This world has changed since Lux took control only a couple of years ago. It has changed from the world that we knew however long ago when we first started our pokemon journeys. Comparing then and now is like staring at night and day side by side. This world has changed, and not for the better. It’s been forced to shift into the ideals of Lux – in short, the rights we were born with as human beings have been taken away from us.
It is as though they have sliced out our tongues and pulled our rights from our wills and our very being.
Since humans first set foot in the Regions, they have largely governed themselves, using the unspoken folkways and mores of the society they established through time. A position of power greater than any one man was a Champion, and that Champion was charged with the duty of protecting their Region. Responsibility to accept such a task was not taken lightly, for few have been able to fully rise as such a Leader. With this Leader, those who lived in the Region still governed themselves. It is the Right of the People to alter or abolish a force that meets destructive and unjust powers, and to institute a new Power. Lux ignored this way life carried and established itself through the Indigo League, oppressing its power upon the citizens of the Pokémon world.
The League claims to aim for superior order to ensure the security of the lives and stability of its people. Their violent actions against those that prefer to live the way they were brought up speak otherwise.
Lux has forbidden its citizens from being outside as long as they may need or further please to be with the curfew enforced. In years past, our children and rising generation stayed out beneath the stars as long as they needed to accomplish their goals and utilize their full potential. The once-future Leaders of our Regions did not sleep in a house on some nights. Unless Lux grants reason for being outside after dark, its citizens are forced to quarter after sunfall.
Lux carries the potential to remove any and all privacy from the life of its citizens. With the paranoia of Nox’s activities reaching even a civilian level, Lux has shown no restraint as far as hunting down Nox spies go. An innocent civilian may be suspected of having associations with Nox for no reason, and further watched without warrant.
Lux has restricted the freedom of speech that has been exercised for as long as our tongues have existed. They restrict what is seen by the public eye – lying to the citizens that place so much trust in their tyrannical Government. They twist the truth of their actions so it is hidden from the public’s view as to maintain a positive standing in the eyes of their people. Further, Lux hesitates not to bring down anybody that speaks ill about them.
Lux erected New Champions to replace those that split from the League for disagreeing. Champions that did not face the challenges the rightful ones previously did to attain their spot. They placed someone in charge as a figurehead to pull the strings on their Regions with no sense of what a true Champion should be and do.
Lux built an army with their stand-in Champions as generals. Their forces of soldiers and sentinels answer to the Champions. Said sentinels commit atrocities in the name of what they see as the greater good – sometimes resulting in the death of countless innocents, something Lux preaches against.
Lux assumes that the protection they offer their citizens is enough to calm a fearful heart. However, they interrupted a tradition that has been kept for decades, completely halting a rite of passage that nearly all children took when they were younger. Disallowing the carrying of, and even so far as interaction with Pokemon in their territories has upset something that was a way of life for us – a drastic shift in a social norm.
Lux has abolished the rights we lived by for so long. Stripping us of our wills and intentions to halt for their own ideals, without listening to the voice we cry. This warrants them the ability to hand out undeserved and meaningless punishments to its citizens, and further allows deaths at their hand to be quieted.
We, therefore, the Representatives of Nox, in Consensu and Unitate, appealing to the President of Lux for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of our Ranks, solemnly publish and declare, That this Faction is, and of Right ought to be Free and Rights-Restored. That we refined all self-power; that we have full Right and Will to levy War, conclude Peace and Equality, establish Free Will to be recognized thru actions, and to do all other Acts and Things which Free Citizens may of right do. – And for the support of this Avowal, with a firm belief on the protection of the Regions, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Wills, and our sacred Freedom.

SEIZE HOENN As it’s been said before in the cbox and in other threads around here, Hoenn is the biggest warzone at the moment. Sure, Sinnoh and Hoenn are the most disputed in the pokemon world as it stands, but conflict in Hoenn has exploded. No doubt enraged by the loss of Sootopolis, Hoenn’s residents have taken it upon themselves to plan how to retaliate through skirmishes, and others have gone the extra mile to put these plans into action rather than held out for the time being.
Sootopolis’ Skirmish made the first domino fall, and since then it has been a chain reaction. Mossdeep and Slateport soon followed alongside the attack upon Lilycove. Plans for a Fallarbor and Dewford skirmish are no secret, while there are others in the works which we have heard little about. Plans to gain Rustboro, Lavaridge, Fortree, and one day even Ever Grande in the name of Nox are out in the open.
The idea that ‘Hoenn will be a scorched ruin at this rate’ is no joke. It’s the truth, and it’s correct. As terrible as that sounds, however, we need to ignore this if we want to gain ground. Lux is unconcerned with Hoenn at the moment, so our chance to move is now. We need more skirmishes to have – not all at once, no, but in the near future once others die out. No break for Hoenn. To purge Lux from Hoenn would be a great victory for Nox. Their grip is loosening because of how much we’re trying to shake them free, and it’s time to pull the rug out from under their feet.
In the act of pushing forward and seiging Hoenn from Lux’s control hi Xander, the region will be flattened at this rate. It is a necessary evil. If the region is harmed in this venture, there’s only one thing we can do – rebuild. Ages ago, the Regions were nothing but open land untouched by the hands of humans and tread only by pokemon. We’ll go back to our roots in this act, forcing history to repeat itself from building the region back up after we take it by storm. But, if that’s what’s necessary to drive Lux out, so be it. I would rather see Hoenn the way it used to be than in the hands of Lux.
There will be others that see this as a rash, head-strong, inconsiderate action, but we will not be doing this all at once. We cannot thin ourselves out that much. This will be done in one fell swoop, though. We will gain territory, protect it, rebuild and fortify it, and go back out for more to create something we desperately need – a region that Nox can see as a stronghold.
The long term plan is to turn Hoenn into a region completely free of Lux, and so the citizens can finally fall under once more into the life they knew, one of freedom where you didn’t have to be afraid of what your action, words, and beliefs may bring.
Don’t think this is directed just at residents of Hoenn, though. Nox supporters from all over the pokemon world are free to aid this effort, if for no other reason than to see Lux be forced out of a region they once held so tightly in their grip. Although we are all of the same faction, how do we know where personal alliances are formed other than just sharing common ideals? We have the support of Sinnoh – a pact with Volkner has promised that we can and will be supported in our struggles, just as we are expected to, and will, show them the same courtesy when the time comes for them to drive Lux from their region.
In accomplishing this large-scale, long-term goal, though, we will need to take it slowly. I have some ideas that would come into play as far as securing the region goes and regulating trade more to know what comes and goes, and to protect its borders; as well as patrols from city-to-city in the air to prevent incoming ‘invaders’ past a certain height and protect the citizens, grow food and more crops (through ‘natural’ means and stolen seeds) in nutrient-rich areas such as Fallarbor, Routes 113, 114, and 119, etc. but I want your ideas. There would be no laws or rule (besides the generally well-known ‘don’t kill people’, etc. that go without saying…basically bringing back the way things used to be…one region at a time). The effort needed to accomplish this will not be limited to simply an all-out forward march. Our troops will be split between the effort to skirmish Lux out and a secondary effort closing behind them to start immediate re-construction, relief efforts, etc. Minimal casualties are desired, with our aggressive intentions aimed at Lux, not the citizens we are attempting to free from their control.
These skirmishes will happen, and we will fight for our region. There’ll be no getting around that point, but as members of Nox and citizens of Hoenn, we’ve been waiting for the moment to pounce.
This is our time.
CURRENTLY BATTLING FOR…
- Lilycove City :: Port city, major hubub. We cannot let this go, no matter how long it takes to gain it.
CURRENTLY SKIRMISHING OVER…
- Slateport City :: Port city, major hubbub. This is a key asset to Hoenn and would prove to be useful in our water-based forces.
- Sootopolis City :: A humiliating loss for the battle is now being fought over with tooth and nail, with any luck we will be able to re-claim what is rightfully ours.
- Mossdeep City :: An island adjacent to Shoal Cave. The direct access to the cave and Space Center are more valuable than you may realize.
UP NEXT ON THE SKIRMISH LIST…
- Rustboro City :: -insert blurb here-
- Fallarbor Town :: -insert blurb here-
- Lavaridge Town :: Mt. Chimney included.
As residents of Hoenn and people of Nox, your input and cooperation is appreciated. Let us hear your voices now so that we may reach across the land.
**Use this to keep track of Hoenn Skirmishes. Ideas/plans for new ones posted here as well**
